We booked the larger room with the glass balcony and I'm so happy we did. The space was worth it and we loved the seating area. The view towards the main area of Cusco was nice in the morning and evening. The area in general was quiet although if you had the patio window open, you could still hear car noises in the background. Impossible to avoid in Peru. I was slightly worried if the location would feel close enough to the city and it was absolutely no problem. We walked in every day and walked back every day. It goes by so quick and there's no real concern walking down the main street or side streets. Reaching Qorikancha was super easy. And at that point, you are in the old town area. The most important thing was how clean, quiet and lovely the hotel was. Breakfast was easily the best we had in our 14 day, multi-city trip The menu of options helped us mix it up for our 4 night stay. The breakfast staff woman was so kind and made delicious food. Fresh cut fruit was amazing. We chatted a bit during breakfast with other people and it felt like a comfortable place to stay overall. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone spending time in Cusco. You will get good sleep, great breakfast and just have to spend an extra 5-10 min walking to start out your day. Note, they also had a tank of oxygen at the ready in the lobby if anyone was needing it. They also had tea always available, which we enjoyed every night. It was odd weather with very cold at night and morning and then warm/hot throughout the day.

I loved being in the quieter artist section of town on a car- less street. Plus, the views of the city were spectacular, especially at night. And the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful, especially carrying luggage up and down a number of flights of stairs. Breakfast was plentiful and very good as well.

FAQs about hotels in Cusco

Timeless Incan Capital

Although it's considered the oldest inhabited city of the Americas and Peru's historical capital, neither of these truly describes the magic enchantment and colorful people of Cuzco. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, its current shape is the colonial result of building on top of many Incan sites, a good example of which is the Cathedral of Santo Domingo.

Must-see places include the walled complex of Sacsayhuamán and the remains of the main temple of Coricancha, dedicated to the Sun God, Inti. For longer Cuzco stays, hotels nePlaza de Armas central square are ideal to fully enjoy the city. Due to its 11,150-foot altitude, some Cuzco hotels offer oxygen to help their guests.

Moray, supposedly an ancient experimental agricultural station, is 29 miles away, and Lake Titicaca is 240 miles away. The road to Machu Picchu is the famous Inca Trail or "Camino Inca," which encompasses settlements, different Andean environments, and many Incan ruins.

Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport offers services to Lima. Arriving at Wanchaq Train Station or Terminal Terrestre de Cusco bus station are also popular choices. Come to visit the ancient jewel, enjoy Peru and Cuzco with the hotel deals available on Booking.com!

Everyone seems happy and caring. They don't seem to mind the tourists. Its very unique in so very many ways. Safe, a chance to unwind and get back to nature but with all the modern conveniences if necessary.alot of fun for every type of vacationer. Shouldn't miss the Marriott - great artisans everywhere. The food is so wonderful. Amazing. A learning experience, as well. I left an American and came home an Indian at heart.

WHAT an exciting place !!!! ZERO danger. Such sweet people. Convenient shopping everywhere. Prices are good. Amazing handcrafted work. Delicious food! Try the pizza! On the down-side - Traffic - we have a law in the USA called "following too closely". They must allow 2 car lengths - even one - would ease the fear - but, you get used to it

Amazing magical place, All they do is exploit the turist people, but still cheap to eat well, and the tours. Carefullinthe streets, the cars doe snot respect people walking and they will drive over you. Friendly people, and nice. You will get overwhelmed of people to ask you to buy their things, but it is the way it is, and Cusco is amazing. You can buy your tour in the city, everywere they selll the tours, all the same price. Cheaper to buy there than in any travel agency abroad.

My cell phone was stolen on my last day at Cusco, pick pocket was not uncommon around Mercado Central de San Pedro. I am not the only one need assistance from the Tourist police to report for stolen phone. The efficiency of the police is not desirable, once they know my travel insurance do not cover the lost of electronic device, they do not show the willingness to issue me the declaration. But the police station arranged patrol car to send me back to my hostel which relief my stress

Cusco is definitely a city worth seeing with scenic views everywhere. All of the people in Cusco, that I interacted with, were very accommodating, respectful and helpful. Cusco is a walking city with restaurants on every corner to have a respite. Also, there are parks with benches and fountains everywhere so you can sit and watch the locals.

The best hotel in Cusco, is hands down, Antigua Casona. It is situated in the best area of Cusco, in the amazing old town centre, near to great spots for enjoying Peruvian cuisine. The hotel itself offers great dining opportunities in its lovely restaurant. Staff was amazing but what really blew our minds was the rooms, that offered luxury and modern notes while keeping the Peruvian style at its best. Great job, its not by luck the most wanted hotel in the area.
