Arribas Sintra Hotel, hotel in Sintra

The westernmost hotel in Europe, located on the magnificent coast of Sintra, right on Praia Grande.

We booked one of the Superior rooms (which are in the higher levels of the hotel i.e. better view) and it did not disappoint. The view was amazing, and the sound of the waves was very relaxing. My parents had called ahead to ask if they could leave a note and a bottle of wine for our honeymoon, and they had that out for us when we got to the room. The breakfast had a lot of options and was very tasty.

A nice place to visit but full of tourists. The nature around is beautiful and you can visit some of the attractions but expect a lot of people. You can find anything from beaches to forests, all in a 15-minute drive. The roads are narrow and it's hard to park.

There are many historical places in Sintra that can be reached on foot. if you go to the right of the historical museum you can find a small restaurant on the balcony where they bake bread in a wood-fired oven. unfortunately I forgot the name, but you can see the sign. Very charming. And visit Long Beach and the restaurant near the rock and try octopus on the grill. Very recommended.

The roads are very tight, the crowds of visitors are intense and some of the locals working in local shops/restaurants are very rude and completely over having to deal with tourists. However, the views are amazing and the Moorish Castle was very cool. Difficult place to travel but worth it!

Sintra was a lovely town but I like Aveiro better especially the hotel we stayed in. The hike to the palace is not that hard. Proper hiking shoes and clothes should be worn. It is not a stroll through a park. You will be climbing up and down narrow stairs. Bring water. The palace is beautiful!.

Very touristy and difficult to manage with a car. Quite pricy. Good food at Tascantiga though. Pena palace was too busy to enjoy properly though the Moorish castle was great. Shame didn't have enough time to visit Quinta da Regaleira.

really beautiful city. if you have time, you can spend up to 5 days with enough interesting sightseeing to visit. the traffic is heavy so I recommend to take buses or walking because uber/bolts can take too long to arrive where you are. the best was a hiking from Sinta Palace to the historical center, really nice views

Hotel is a former palace for Lisbon aristocrats. It has been updated here and there, but retains much of its old charm (and in a few places, shows some age). But we loved it! Big rooms, high ceilings, lovely terrace and pool - it was all perfect for our family’s stay. They also held our luggage while we explored town and let us swim in the pool again before leaving to the next destination. On a really hot day, this hit the spot! It is not a 5 star hotel, but value is off the charts and I would definitely stay there again !

We literally did feel welcomed and home from the very first second! The apartment has everything you need - beach equipment, bikes, a wonderful kitchen, outdoor and indoor hangout areas, insanely clean shower & comfy bedroom. Absolutely recommendable - we will come back whenever being back in Portugal again. The location is excellent to visit beaches within walking distance and a lots of wonderful towns around to explore by car! You will hear the waves from the Atlantic Ocean when falling asleep - thanks for everything! 🙏🏿

Everything was quite perfect. The owner/manager was super polite and friendly to all our problems/confuses. The location is absolutely perfect, cause it took just 22 minutes from villa to my home in the Lisbon city centre (Avenida da Liberdade). The cleanliness was perfect, - everything (floor, walls, dust, moisture, whatever do you expect from the home in Portugal) was perfect and in best condition you ever can imagine. It was not so hot like it was in Lisbon and not so cold/windy/helly like it can be in Sintra ))

We traveled from Lisbon to Sintra by train. The Hotel was conveniently located right across the street from the train station. This is also where you can get on board the 434 and 435 buses to get to the palaces and Moorish castle. We were able to leave our luggage at the property well before check-in.The room was comfortable and we had a nice view of the small and colorful train station. It was surprisingly quiet for what is a very popular tourist destination. And the price was very reasonable.

This was the best accom we experienced during our stay in Portugal. The service was A+, the room was spotless and comfortable, breakfast was perfect (freshly baked bread!), the laundry service was excellent and fast, the view was out of this world, the location was ideal and parking was so easy (once we got it through to the traffic cop that Casa do Valle offered parking and it was OK to let us through). Would definitely recommend even to fussy travelers.

This boutique hotel is amazing. The view is the best in Sintra. The bed was so comfortable, the room spotlessly clean, large fluffy towels, very hot water for a shower, quiet, and delicious breakfast. Alexandra was a wonderful host. We were celebrating an event and Alexandra delivered a bottle of Vinho Verde with strawberries to our room which was a lovely added touch.

Location was excellent. The room was amazing, especially having the balcony with table and chairs. The bathroom was the best we had in our two week travels through Portugal and Spain. Breakfast was very good, even though we could only have it one morning since we had to leave early for airport. Highly recommend! More than 5 stars!
