The hotel is relatively new and everything worked well in the room - good shower, comfortable beds, nice view from the balcony. Breakfast was really good and the reception staff were always available and helpful. The rooftop bar and pool was beautiful. Location in Olhao is nice for walking and the restaurants near the marina were great.

Located in a quiet (car free) street in the old town. Very central and close to the shorefront and restaurants. Rose makes the greatest breakfasts and she and Gino are super friendly and helpful. I had my own private roof terrace which was a bonus.

Olhao is relaxed. Some great restaurants, lots of variety.
Olhao is relaxed. Some great restaurants, lots of variety. Our favourite was at the Marina near where you take the ferry. Take a trip to the Ria Formosa and enjoy the islands and the beaches. There are many boat companies plus the regular ferry every 20 minutes.
Golf is nearby but expensive. Look for deals, if they are available. We played Benamor, tight close and not very long. Still enjoyed it.

Beautifully quiet and relaxing
Sea , boat trips amazing
But a very long walk to the beaches , you need to catch a ferry and then walk 45 mins
But the islands are lovely and some nice restaurants
And scrummy bakeries
A few nice shops
I would definitely hire. A car as some of the surrounding area are stunning
The yatch club has the most amazing fish
And the Mexican near the police station is also very nice

Beautiful old and new Olhao.
Beautiful old and new Olhao. Plenty of restaurants and bars in the area and never had a bad meal. Actually loved every meal I had. A long waterfront takes you from the old town to the new town and plenty to see and do.

Lovely little town, with an old town to stay in and explore and a newer town which we didn't really visit. We found the old town to be inviting, quaint, clean, and big enough to meet your needs for restaurants, shops, and easy access back onto the highway. There are no beaches to walk on, you need to take a boat but we didn't try it out. We enjoyed everything within walking distance. There is a promenade to walk a long the water with outdoor seating and great food, loved the garlic butter shrimp, a popular dish everywhere.

I know Olhao as a cheap and quit place but not anymore, its too noisy and expensive for us so unfortunately our next trip will be somewhere else.
For children there is not so much to do.
Its an excellent place for the eldery because of the shops, the bars, the restaurants and the boats to the beach. Eveything is easy to reach by car, bus, train, boat or taxi.
You have to be carefull for sunburn. Especially at the beach.
I dont burn easily but even early in April I got burned so much it hurts.
Be carefull! Also please dont swimm, the water is *** cold and we experienced first hand the tide can take you away from the beach,.

Very nice charming old town with smaal streets en lively marketplace at the seaside. Saturday farmers market is must see. Lots of all kind of restaurants with good food and friendly prices. Restaurant O Bote - family owned restaurant with tasty grilled food and authentic atmosphere, Restaurant Galo Barreta, good food, good service and best white Sangria ever.
This place has the quality of a 5-Star luxury hotel at the price of a B&B. They invested a ton of money in having the absolute best quality and comfort for the guests from the bedroom to the beautiful bathroom to the common area. The Owners are a super-nice and hospitable couple. The breakfast is totally top-notch. Totally quiet, rural location, yet close to many interesting sites and not too far from town. We couldn't believe how pleasant this place was. We'd love to come back and stay for a few weeks and just relax.
This is a lovely apartment - the photos accurately depict the clean lines and modern look. Jose, our host, was very friendly, kind and attentive: we very much enjoyed meeting him. The apartment is well located in downtown Olhao, about 10-15 minutes easy walking through the back streets to the seafront. Parking is plentiful nearby: probably best on the main road before you turn into the street where the apartment is based. There is a lovely dining area and terrace for your exclusive use too. We would definitely return!
This hotel is my favourite hotel in the Algarve. I am biased because not only is this hotel just lovely, but I love the Ria Formosa. The staff are not only very helpful; they make time to have a chat.
It’s nice to be able to choose what you want to eat at breakfast, and this is good quality and varied food. If you don’t book an evening meal, there is plenty of choice in Olhao.
Having both an indoor and outdoor pool is nice and it’s close enough to walk to the town and ferries.
Absolutely beautiful apartment in a stunning quiet location a couple of miles outside of Olhao. The owners Manuela and Miguel along with their housekeeper Ligia made our stay the best on our trip through Spain and Portugal. The countryside around monte das perdizes is full of walks, and wildlife is abundant. If you want easy access to the towns but also solitude away from the tourist trap, this is the place to stay.
Hotel is very clean and stylish. Pool area was really lovely. All the staff I met with were so friendly and helpful and they did a great job at making you feel comfortable.
My room on one of higher level floors had a two chaired balcony which overlooked pool area and over Olhao. Great at end of day to relax on.
Bed was massive and the bedding, towels were good quality
Very kind and hospitable host who is doing everything to make sure his guests have a great stay
Spacious, clean, modern apartment with balcony and spacious, clean bathroom
Extensive, tasteful breakfast
Located in the non-touristy authentic part of Olhao
Excellent value for money
The rooftop terrace is BREATHTAKING! Nice, clean rooms and the surroundings of the town are beautiful! 5min walk from Marina and restaurants. The staff were super friendly and warm. Note that this accommodation is in the old town and not Faro (I.e. close to I <3 Faro sign).
This hotel is a little piece of paradise. Every detail was great. It was nice talking with the other guests at the hotel as well. Anyone interested in architecture and design will definitely appreciate this place. Breakfast was lovely.
Upscale hotel, great breakfast buffet, great facilities, good size rooms with coffee/tea facilities, good location in front of the port to catch the private ferry to Farol Beach, easy access to Faro and to the airport by car.
Don't be put off by the term "Guest House"

It was the absolute best stay I have ever had anywhere in the world. Beautiful hotel, feels like a luxurious home, wonderful host Marìa, and very high end clean facilities.
