the hotel is in an excelent location, 5 av and 27, so right in the midle of the city. It has a certain «je ne sais quois» that derives from its artistic approach. Its not a luxury hotel, neither does it claims to be. |

The location and value for money was excellent. Good deli around the corner which makes up for lack of restaurant, hotel however, does have a small coffee shop. Rooms were very warm, had to turn heat off, even in November! Good size shower and bathroom. Would have no problem recommending hotel for city shopping break. No kettle facility in bedrooms |

Well located and a spacious room. We enjoyed the effect of the artistic decor and furnishings combined with original features of an older-style building. . |

It was well located for my needs and I found free parking nearby. The room was not what was represented online. Paint was chipping in several places and there were dirty marks on the vinyl chair. The bathroom was old and grubby. Windowsills had chipping paint as well. The tv was small and very high on the wall. Very dissappointed for the price paid. |

The room was fairly large, it was clean, the bathroom was nice, there was nothing especially bad, nothing especially good. We like the art. Price was too high given the room and the location. |

Room on 12th floor (KS-bed) was perfect. Hotel is near Empire State Building and subway station. Breakfast restaurant with natural food ca. 100m (corner 5th av and 27th street). |

I loved its offbeat look it is not located in a convenient area, and I felt it was far over priced for its rooms. Its facade and website promised a more elegant style hotel. But I loved its zaniness. |

The hotel was situated just off 5th Avenue so close to sightseeing and shops. Beds were quite comfortable if we had been able to sleep! Room was an okay size, just bathroom that was minute. Staff generally polite and tried to help when asked. Very tatty, needs major redecorating. Tiles cracked in tiny bathroom, window didn't shut, no double glazing so very cold. Old cranky radiator that made loud noises all night long so interrupted sleep unless it was turned off. Boiler broke down so no hot water. Cold water tap wouldn't turn off so dripped all the time. Gaps around air conditioner in window so draught blowing through all night long. Generally very run down and not worth the amount charged for a room. Was annoyed to have another $300 added to bill when I arrived as 'taxes' not shown on initial booking so be aware of that. |

The location An update of the bed linens would be a great improvement. It could add a more fresh and somewhat comfortable look to the small dated rooms. |

The interior design was cool and the location was good. I wasn't pleased with the fact that you have to pay a rather high price for the use of wireless internet. Also the beds were too hard and the pillow could have been made of stone for all the softness it had. The TV remote in our room broke down two times and they told they'd send a maintenance guy to check it out. It did work after his visit, but only for a short while. Second time we didn't bother. A thing that displeased all the other guests that I spoke to was that there was only one elevator in the entire hotel an that was very slow and very small. It didn't help that the staff, such as the cleaning ladies used the same elevator. It took ages to get up or down. |

It was close to what we wanted to do in the city. The bathroom was filthy and the room was a joke. For another few bucks I could have stayed at a real hotel. The web description of the hotel was not was it was. I felt like it was a seedy motel room with hidden cameras everywhere. It was very uncomfortable. But the bathroom was the worst. Moldy tub and dirty floors. I told them to try to Tilex nextime. |
