Mayflower Park Hotel, hotel in Seattle

Built in 1927, this historic hotel located in the center of Seattle is within a 10 minute walk to Pike Place Market. It features Andaluca Restaurant and Oliver’s Lounge.

I cannot think of any way that our stay could have been better. Staff, room, bed, food at restaurant, on and on -- everything was great. We had a one-night stay before our cruise began the next day. Went to Pike Place Market, and also a nearby Walgreens for stuff we forgot to bring with us.

Staypineapple, University Inn, University District Seattle, hotel in Seattle

Staypineapple, University Inn, University District Seattle is offering accommodations in Seattle. This 3-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk, a concierge service and free WiFi.

I was confused and parked in the wrong lot for these two Pineapple properties a block apart - after a long drive, a lot of traffic and construction in the area - but the staff in both hotels kindly sorted it out so I didn't have to move my car or room. I was able to rush put to the Cherry Festival and wonderful Burke Museum (on foot, easy walk) because they just untangled my debacle with a smile and great kindness. These Pineapple hotels in the Seattle University District are our go-to, and we are never anything but relieved and happy to check in. Central near campus and medical facilities. North of Seattle for people headed to Canada, as we often are.

Everything about the stay was more than expected. The trip was for a medical visit to a UW clinic; the hotel was a 5 minute walk from the StayPineapple hotel—couldn’t have worked out better. In addition, we loved meeting UW students celebrating their graduation from the university—-added to the visit for sure.

FAQs about hotels in Seattle

The Emerald City

Nicknamed the Emerald City due to its lush greenery, Seattle is best known for its great waterfront, fantastic skyline and infamous rainy weather. In reality though, the city gets less rain a year than New York or Atlanta!

One look at Seattle’s skyline and you’re immediately drawn to the iconic Space Needle. Standing proudly at 600 feet, this major landmark features a rotating restaurant at 490 feet and has been featured in numerous films and TV shows, including the classic "Sleepless in Seattle."

The Needle isn't far from the popular Pike Place Market, a public farmer’s market selling fresh produce and crafts from local farms and independent merchants. It’s also the place where the Starbucks Corporation was founded in 1971. Enjoy a cup of coffee in their original store! Seattle has many popular parks and, thanks to its mild marine climate, is a great place for outdoor activities. A visit to Kerry Park to admire the best view of the city with Mt. Rainier in the background is a must!

Arriving at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, you’re only about 35 minutes from downtown and whether you’re looking for a hotel with free parking or near the airport, Booking.com has a great choice for your Seattle trip.

We truly enjoyed our 3 day stay in Seattle - we could've stayed longer but we know we can always come back as it is just a 3 hour drive from Vancouver. The people we met were all friendly and accommodating. Made a few friends in the process! Seattle is one of those cities that is meant to be explored leisurely! We also enjoyed our ferry ride to and back from the beautiful Bainbridge Island.

Pike Place Market interesting to visit but fruit prices over the top way too expensive. Would never buy there again. Did Beneath The Streets underground tour and the tour guide was knowledgeable and informative and factual. Waterfront area views pleasant. We took a taxi from accommodation to sights as it was cheap to do that and go directly to what we wanted to see as the streets were sloped in areas and harder for over 60 yo's to walk. Space Needle was on the to do list and Chulilly gardens but did not have enough time in the 2 days we had. Enjoyed lunch at Buckleys cnr of 2nd Avenue. Great food and value for money. Great service and good atmosphere and decor.

    Great city.

Great city. Get the CityPass to enjoy up to 5 of 7 recommended tourist attractions. Stay close to Pike Market as loads of food to eat is around there. Yellow cabs are cheaper than Uber but longer wait time. As with most cities, there are loads of homeless people and many stores are taking precautions against this by limited access to their stores. The Crab Pot is highly recommended for a seafood boil, Icarus’s for clam chowder and the Ponk Door for late dinner.

The city is interesting. Love to walk to downtown Seattle, to see the market place and the restaurant. Yummy bread @ Piroshky and also buy coffee @ Starbucks-Pike Place Market. Visit the Space Needle and experience thrilling view over the skyriser glass benches.

    The wineries were great.

The wineries were great. My favorite was St Michelle—close by and beautiful. Hiking the Little Si or the Rattlesnake was fun! Restaurants—Saltys across the bay! Tera Plata was great. Vendemmie was a great Italian restaurant. Macrina was a lovely little bakery and eatery for morning or lunch. Chambers Bay for golf was awesome! Just walking the wharf was beautiful!

-Unprofessional and rude front desk staff/ poor customer service -Restaurant room service took 2 hours and never came. -Rooms were old and the building itself was one of those "fake nice" hotels where you could tell sleezy things happened but since they have nice furniture it covers it up. -Good location downtown, close to the waterfront. -Gym and pool were also good. -2 stars for the price and the fact we couldn't relax because of the rude treatment and general untrustworthiness of the hotel.

The downtown Seattle location is close to shopping and restaurants and an easy walk to the ferry terminal, Lumen Field, and Pike Market. The room was spacious with large windows and a very comfortable bed. The huge bathroom and soaking tub were lovely as well. The hotel's sauna, steam room, and hot tub were an added bonus! The entire hotel was very clean and well cared for. We stayed at the club level and loved the afternoon snacks and the yummy breakfast offered. We will stay again--highly recommend!

One of the best priced hotels in downtown with seriously the the best facilities. I had an alimony in seattle and decided to make it a relaxing getaway as well so the facilities were a big deal. Didn’t disappoint with MULTIPLE pools, steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs and even a plunge pool at no extra cost. The workout facilities were excellent, The rooms were more than well equipped with a full size fridge/freezer, stove, oven and a large deck for hanging.

Great stay at the heart of downtown Seattle and near the connvention center. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was the standard Mariott breakfast. If you have stayed in other ones in the US, it should be almost the same, which is good. Everything is nearby, so you can walk everywhere or take a short Uber trip to some tourist attractions. The wifi was ok too. Typically what you would expect for free wifi from a hotel.

Great location for the Climate Pledge Arena, an easy 10 minute stroll across the Seattle Center. The Uber pick up zone post-event is close to the hotel, so there were quite a few people walking in the same direction afterwards, making this is a good choice if you're not sure about travelling home alone after a late finish. Bus stops nearby to get downtown, or it's an easy 20-25 minute walk.
