The Staff and Ms. Kim the Sales Manager were super helpful and friendly! They even got me a doctor when I got a little sick for a day, and Ms. Kim helped me personally in the room during that time. It was exceptional service. Ms. Kim also helped in advance with our many tour plans, and during out stay the staff helped us switch one event around because of weather. They were all always cheerfully ready to help in any way. The breakfast food (and room service) was also delicious and food staff members friendly and helpful. The whole experience there was Marvelous!

We used Hanoi Media as a base camp over our weeklong stay in Hanoi and for storing our luggage when we did overnight trips to SaPa and Halong Bay.
As a family, we booked the Family Suite which was a perfect size. The breakfast upstairs was wonderful and they made special Western food on request. The staff members were the best, so kind and warm hearted, we took a group picture when we left.
The location is one block away from the lake, convenient to everything and very clean and detailed. We got a 10% discount in the spa which was convenient having it is the same place.

Besides having things to do in Hanoi, it is the springboard for places such as Sa Pa, Ninh Binh
and Halong Bay. The food is great with many options. The water puppet show was spectacular and train street a hoot. Definitely try the various coffees and local dishes. Many options in Hanoi for vegetarians too. The prison (Maison Central) was very interesting and I believe the Women’s Museum is fascinating too. And oh, the Vietnamese are so generous and hospitable. My visit was beginning of June and the days were hot - 34-35 degrees, so be prepared if you visit at that time.

Only good for shopping experience, eating out and walking in evening -night time in old quarters area and lake. Train street and water puppet show were good experiences. Weather too hot and humid for any other sight seeing. Large Malls are not worth spending time, as expensive.
Recommend - cruise trip to halong or lan ha.
Highly recommended - stay at Tam coc for minimum 3 nights as it much much better than spending more time in Hanoi City.

Lots to see and do, Temples and museums, natural areas such as Ha Long Bay and Lanha Bay. We were short on time so did a day trip from Hanoi with Jade Sails. They emphasise the standard of their boat and trip and it lived up to their "luxury" moniker. Some museums are a long walk if it's hot so consider the cheap taxis (download the Grab app with cash/Visa payment options). Many hotels to choose from and at a fair price. Many restaurants and eating places serving wonderful Vietnamese cuisine to choose from. Our advice - Use suncreen and a hat. Drink bottled or boiled tap water. Wash your hands with soap or sanitiser frequently especially before eating. Be careful to eat in busy restaurants where the food doesn't sit long, be careful eating salad washed in tap water (dunk it in your boiling hot Pho! ). Experience the long distance trains. The Lotus Express is such a wonderful journey, go for the soft berths, very comfortable. The smaller places around central, coastal Vietnam are a breath of fresh air after the big cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh.

I stayed in the old qtr - weekend night market, lively, or relaxing. Water puppet show was great. Sights and food, plus cheap shopping. Don't pay for baggage on the plane and having to lug around a huge suitcase when you can get washing done for you anywhere in Vietnam (also gives locals work) and you can buy cheap clothes just for the trip if needed. Same for almost anything needed to stay fresh and clean. Hire a scooter and do it on your own or do tours - choices are all open. Make loose plans on what/where to go but wait until their to book a lot of things because it's so easy to get around, book for next day, etc (it was when I was there because it wasn't as busy as later in the year and other factors like wars, covid and inflation keeping a lot of people at home instead of abroad).

Fabulous atmosphere..very walkable and lovely friendly people. Most of the food was good but not as good as I thought it would be..some of it was bland. The lake area is very nice and picturesque. I purchased 2x glasses there which were excellent quality. Loved our time in Hanoi.
Breakfast was very good. Specially the Vietnam soup which included for breakfast was very tasty. All the staff members very efficient .They are helping to visitors in all the ways. They offered us a free room upgrade for 04 days period. It was very good and the city view was excellent. I am recommending this hotel those who are visiting the Hanoi Old Quarters. It is very near to Night market and Hoin Kem lake. If we go again to Hanoi this hotel will be my first choice. Thank you for all staff members. Special thank for front office MANAGER.
The morning breakfast was superb! I had the luxury of tasting all the seven Vietnamese specialties on the menu - one different specialties for each different day together with a set of American breakfast.
The location of the hotel itself at the heart of the Old Quarter afforded me the advantage of easy access to the vibrant activities of the neighbourhood.
The hotel staffs were very friendly and always ready to serve and answer any query to the best of their ability. This gave me the assurance that I would be well taken care of.
Hanoi Victor Gallery Hotel is one of best hotel that we did to stay in Vietnam. We have beautiful room with nice decor, nice streets view. We did to booked Luxury package tour as : Ha Long bay 2 days 1 night + Ninh binh - Hang mua - trangan eco 1 day was excellent trip with great deal. Hotel location is perfect in heart of old quarter, nice gallery, silk shop next door hotel, close to many nice place. Their staffs was very friendly, nice and polite, elegance. We're highly recommend Hanoi Victor Gallery hotel & Spa ****
Great place to stay in Hanoi's old quarter which seems to has been renovated just recently.. Room was nice and spacious incl all amenities. Staff was very kind and caring and they'd go above and beyond for customers satisfaction. One could see that COVID hit the Vietnamese tourism industry hard and now there's big competition. Anyway, can recommend the hotel unconditionally and wish them and their staff the best of luck. PS: Breakfast is a plus (Continental and Asian breakfast)
I’ve lived in Vietnam for almost 5 years and this was some of the best service I’ve had here. The hotel is brand new and the rooms are beautiful. The staff is amazing and genuinely care about the experience of the guests. It’s in a perfect location to explore the old quarter by foot and about 100 meters from Hoan Kiem lake. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Truly a great experience and wonderful price for the value. If you come to Hanoi come stay at Hotel du LAC!
Trang and Hang are two of the most special, helpful, and amazing hotel staff I have ever met. The room Great! The hotel itself is in great location, best coffee houses, best beef pho restaurant, and walking proximity to all you’d want to visit while in old quarter Hanoi. Truly the experience made memorable by the awesome customer hospitable service. Returning again in a few days…and my go to next time in Hanoi. If you don’t stay here, you’re missing out.
We had a brilliant stay at Salute. The staff were always friendly, smiley and helped us with everything we needed. It was our first time in Vietnam and they were so informative about all of the places to go, food to try, and even organised fabulous day trips for us. Also the breakfast every morning was 5 star and hotel is in a very convenient location close to the old quarter. We cannot thank the team enough for a great stay!
Its a prime location for all touristy things in hanoi.
Also, the market places are just around the corner.
And hanoi night market is also walking distance.
The best part is this hotel has lift!! Its really difficult to find hotels in hanoi old quarters with lifts but this was it!
I will definitely come back here again for sure & will also suggest everyone to stay here
This was my first of three hotels in Hanoi. I absolutely loved it. The service was great, the breakfast was lovely, the room was comfortable, and the value was amazing. Not the best view, but you're in the middle of a city, so that is to be expected. I LOVED the location. Right in the heart of the Old Quarter. We walked EVERYWHERE! I absolutely recommend this hotel!
Staff very friendly and helpful, Lucy on reception on our first night was delightful. Situated in the Old Quarter it is really centrally located. We stayed for our first two nights in Vietnam, hotel arranged our pick up from the airport. We left for Ninh Binh and were able to leave our extra luggage on return to Hanoi we stayed a further night at this hotel.
Great location in the Old Quarter of Hanoi close to the Hoan Kiem Lake, restaurants, shops, and a short walk to the French Quarter, opera house and the Water Puppet Show theater. Even though the hotel was on a busy street, the room was quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfy and had all the amenities you could need.
Out of all the hotels we stayed in Hanoi, this was the cleanest with no ants. It had the best natural lighting coming through the windows and two full length mirrors. Room was very clean, and nice toiletries. Appreciate there was a bathtub for baths. A bit out of the way edge of old quarter but minutes away from Train Street.
Best hotel I’ve stayed in Hanoi - great value for money and because we were loyal, we were upgraded to a few rooms up for free! The hotel manager and all staff were amazing during our stay and the hotel is so perfectly situated, near enough to the old quarter and quiet enough during the night.
Amazing Hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter, the staff here are exceptional and probably the best staff I have had at a hotel across many countries, they made our stay in Hanoi that much better just by being so lovely, will definitely be back here when we return to Hanoi next time
Well positioned between the Old Quarter and the French Quarter making most tourist destinations walk-able, once you learn how to cross the street in Hanoi! The breakfast is very good. Would recommend this hotel in view of the good service. Excellent value of money.
We got a very nice room with balcony, the hotel has very good location in Hanoi old quarter. It takes a minute walking to Hoan Kiem Lake and the night market. The staffs are all very warmly welcome and friendly, they also speak English very well.
Brand new hotel in best location in Hanoi Old Quarter. It is located on a cozy little street very close to the scenic Hoan Kiem Lake. The staff is very attentive and very well trained. I had a very pleasant stay.
