Ideally located in the centre of Masham, we were well looked after by our wonderful host, Jude. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. There was a fridge in the breakfast room that guests could use and Jude even went out of her way to make sure we had skimmed milk - it's the small things that matter! The breakfasts were delicious with a huge choice.

We stayed in Morton House, had the use of two double bedrooms. Lovely clean and fresh. Lots of utensils, two comfortable sitting areas as well as outdoor space that caught the evening sun.

What a beautiful place to stay! A little slice of heaven. I couldn't stop looking out the window and taking in the view. My husband and I had the entire wing to ourselves, which was great! No worries about privacy going from our room to the shower and toilet. In the morning he had a lounge to relax in and get caught up on work. We also appreciated the portable heater in the room. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options to choose from, and one day we hope to return. Just absolutely lovely!

    I have been a frequent visitor to Masham for 35 years, which must reflect my love for the place. A very friendly, quiet, relaxing town, with might not suit everyone's taste but it does have four pubs, and is an ideal base for touring the Dales and other parts of Yorkshire

    Pretty market square, some nice, small shops (the pork pies from Rogers & Son the butcher are excellent) and if you want some really nice chocolates go to Joneva in the market place/ Of course the Black Sheep Brewery is worth a visit, take a tour and sample their wares, their bistro does very good fish & chips too.

    We discovered by talking to other people that all other pubs and restaurants in the area were closed by 6 pm and the King's Head were refusing custom because of understaffed even though the restaurant wasn't full.

    Great village, cafes, pubs, Michelin starred restaurant, 2 breweries, lovely river, picturesque, a variety of great walks, lovely atmosphere and great accommodations. Park your car and enjoy yourself. And book early!

    Apart from one shop more for my spouse than for me, which was good in itself but flouted its wokery (my wife didn't see its rainbow shame), it was an interesting and enjoyable small town, and a nice place to weather the Christmas storm. It has some nice perimeter walks, and a 'Druid' temple within easy driving distance: the latter had us fooled but was built in Jane Austen days and was well worth the visit in spite of some sciatic type pain giving me some jip. We were impressed by Uredale Glass (tucked away in a side street from the Kings Head), with the Kings Head (Christmas Eve meal and in the Tesco points scheme), and with many more of the little shops (except one which shall remain nameless).

    Lots of independant shops, worth working your visit to include the market on Wednesdays and Saturday. Good local walks and great local information available from the terrific staff at the community hub. Two breweries and a selection of top class pubs all within walking distance of the market square with a very good selection of ales in good condition.

    Hotel directly on.main square. Honesty box parking. Lovely Church nearby and some short local walks. Choice of other pubs in the square for drinks and food. Good options for breakfast. Plenty of tea and coffee available. Lots of friendly banter at breakfast with Gaye and Chris. There are some courtyard rooms which may not be ideal for people with.mobility problems or for a winter stay. Would recommend.

    Beautiful Hotel,incredible rooms, warm and cosy. Stunning grounds. the breakfast was lovely but a little pricey... the spa was excellent but not nearly enough loungers and not tidied often enough after people had vacated.

    Lovely modern, spacious accommodation which was ultra clean. Located at the end of a country lane with immediate access to country walks and within 10 min walk to Masham square. Great base for Yorkshire Dales.
