We stayed in the cutest adorable wee cottage and the village was the same. A gorgeous narrow street of lovely cottages and houses to wander around and enjoy the peace and quiet. When we were there it was not bustling with tourists like some of the neighbouring villages which we liked. It has a lovely big church, a cafe with delicious looking food, a small convenience store, and two pubs to choose from. Only 10mins drive from Moreton in Marsh and less than an hour to Stratford upon Avon.

Lovely village. Pub was good, food good.

Lovely village. Pub was good, food good. Room very small, bathroom tiny. Hot water intermittent. Wardrobe very dusty so obviously not been cleaned in a long time!! Staff very polite, courteous and helpful and nice. Food is excellent, especially their curry's which were delicious. Blockley is an ideal place to stay and one of the prettiest village in the Cotswolds.

Great location, you can walk from the cottage or drive, lot's of walking choices and site seeing in the area. The cottage is on the small side but as long as visitors are aware of this, they will have a good stay. Excellent wifi connection.

Pretty little Cotswold village apparently where 'Father Brown' is filmed. It has a great village shop and 'cafe' which offers breakfast, lunch and high end dinner options, plus two pubs. Easy to park and plenty of picturesque views.

The staff and the food at the 'Crown' were very good.

The staff and the food at the 'Crown' were very good. The village is photogenic and a good place for short local walks. If you want to use public transport then planning is essential as buses are not frequent. We didn't realise until we arrived that the outside of the church is where Father Brown is filmed! We would go back.

This was a wonderful home in Blockley - an excellent location for exploring the Cotswolds. The living area and outdoor spaces were tremendous. We spent every day enjoying the outdoor garden and seating overlooking fields and hills. Bonus - there was a herd of red deer confined to the field behind the home. Great to watch with an evening glass of wine. The kitchen was the best space of the home. The included adjacent parking spot was very convenient. Easy walk to central Blockley.

This was the cutest most adorable cottage and village we have stayed in. We loved it here. The cottage had everything we needed (except a washing machine) and it was a lovely wander back along the lovely High Street to The Crown Hotel, cafe and wee shop in the village. The cottage has a tight spiral staircase up to the bathroom and bedrooms so we left our suitcases downstairs (which was fine for us). We loved it here and really wished we could have stayed here longer.

We were on a four day hike through the Cotswolds, choosing affordable overnight stays in remote areas. We were very lucky to find a couple of rooms at short notice in Blockley. Unfortunately there was no option of an evening meal at the hotel, but they served a lovely full English breakfast. The staff were friendly and the proprietor went out of his way to accommodate us.

The Crown Inn is an absolute bargain, particularly for the Cotswolds. The staff are lovely and the whole place is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Food is good, though didn't try breakfast. Perfectly located for the best of the Cotswolds, but you will need your own transport out of Blockley, which is a gorgeous, but quiet village, with no station and few buses

We made a last minute booking to return to a village we hadn't been to in more than 20 years as part of our uk trip. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the room was comfortable. The bar food was excellent - Try the Sri Lankan option - and the setting convivial. Enjoyed a sound night's sleep before continuing on our adventure.

Beautiful cottage with lots of charm and was very well equipped. Comfy sofas. Good shower over bath. Had a log burner but didn't use as lovely weather. Blockley is a great base with nice pub, shop and cafe. Lots of great walks from doorstep and local villages/towns. Would definitely stay in the cottage again.

The hotel is well-located in a charming village which is a convenient base for visiting the Cotswolds. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good. We ate in the bar on one night and the SriLankan set meal curry was outstanding. Would stay again if in the area (if only for the curry).

Very well kept & clean little cottage, small but perfect! Lovely little secure garden, ideal for little ones. Right next to a fab park which we went to each day. Not far from Blockley, stow on the wolds and Bourton on the water. Lovely touch having biscuits & milk on arrival!

Make sure you park in their own yard because parking on high street is very narrow and difficult. Their own parking yard is large. There is a good restaurant and bar here, the Sri Lanka food is good. Room is clean, warm, and dry. Wifi speed is fast.
