We received an unexpected upgrade which was lovely the room much bigger than expected. Breakfast was good and served in a clean and relaxed environment and the staff were lovely. The location was just next to hoole railway station which was very convenient, there was no rail noise that we noticed and we were within walking distance of Chester centre and the river dee.

Breakfast is excellent, plenty of food and we had a dinner at here. It was very delicious and big plate.
Situated on highway A55, this modern hotel is just 40 minutes from Liverpool and the ferries to Ireland. It has comfortable rooms, free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, a bar and a gym.

I was not expected on my arrival
Staff left me stood for quite a while as ND language was far from desirable
Staff were very amenable and it was an easy hotel to access.

Current renovation work meant we swapped rooms as initially all we had was scaffolding at the window.
Breakfast was just adequate but definitely not great value.

Ask the reception for a quiet room, mine was overlooking the M56, luckily I had some earplugs with me so that filtered out the noise.
Its ok but would rate the hotel as being on the same level as a Premier Inn, it used to be a more higher rating than a Premier Inn but standards are not what they used to be.
Food was ok but don't expect 4* restaurant class food.
I cannot comment on the other facilities as was only there for one night

Garden City is an awful place.
Garden City is an awful place. Luckily, this hotel isn’t really in Garden City but conveniently placed just off the A55. The nearest village is Hawarden, which is lovely - pubs, farm shop, Gladstone Library. But really this hotel is a base to explore Chester (15 mins drive) or the North Wales coast.

On arrival staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful.
On arrival staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant were extremely busy but the rooms were quiet.
The room was of a good size and well equipped with hairdryer and ironing board etc.
I found the mattress hard but this may just be personal preference.
The bath was very slippery without a mat or rough surface for showering. This should be rectified as it could be dangerous.
Tea and coffee were provided but these were very basic. It would have been nice to have had more of a choice.
We were visiting family in Hawarden but also had a trip to the Blue Planet Aquarium and Cheshire Oaks planned. The hotel is
Overall I felt it offered good value for money.

Convenient hotel and friendly staff. Nice set up.
Convenient hotel and friendly staff. Nice set up. However the accommodation was of a very poor standard. Handy place to stay in terms of location. But I wouldn’t recommend if you have very high standards of cleanliness.
Checking in was simple and quick, the staff were very friendly and always happy to help and answer any questions. The room was very clean and well ventilated. I attended the hotel and stayed due to a weekend training event and again the service provided for this was excellent. I was also able to enjoy the pool facilities and again checking in to this was fast and easy with nothing but smiles and willingness to help from the staff. Highly recommended to stay here.
I was in the far wing and the room looked to be an older version within the building. It was a very long walk with my bags down long corridors.
The hotel it’s self was lovely. Breakfast was good and the staff all very friendly and polite / helpful. I briefly used the gym and had a swim. It was a small pool but facilities good.
Overall I had I lovely stay.
I chose this hotel for both its location and also because I have stayed in numerous Village Hotels over the years. Location and facilities in terms of swimming pool, gym and restaurant etc are all good and I have stayed here before and also met clients due to location etc,
Very large bed.
The room wasn't too hot - which makes a nice change from other hotels.
Good facilities - with a nice restaurant, bar and leisure complex (though we did not have the time to use any of them as were had an all day wedding to attend).
Staff were friendly and helpful, beds were comfy and rooms were warm and quite big. Was also nice to be able to open the window for fresh air unlike in some hotels. It was very close to A55 which was convenient. Breakfast was nice. Wifi worked ok.
Hotel guests take second place, gym full of old local people, restaurant is really expensive and always full of football enjoyers, can't really say it's guest focused. No food after 9.30 pm. Overall, room was ok. Just don't expect too much
Location was great if going to Chester zoo, blue planet aquarium or Cheshire Oaks.
Thankfully there was a Starbucks on site or we wouldn’t of had any breakfast options at hotel or coffee options.
Unfortunately the facilities that we paid for were not working which spoiled the occasion for us as we look forward to having our Spa breaks and always make full use of the facilities.
