I love Berkhamsted.
I love Berkhamsted. Went with my friends couple of years ago and we shopped, had lunch and went to the Rex cinema which is great. Went with my husband a couple of weeks ago and did shopping, dinner and Rex cinema. The hotel location is great. We managed to get in the hotel car park which is off the Waitrose car park. Not sure of the parking costs if hotel car park was full. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and some lovely shops, my favourite being The Forge Boutique. Lovely individual shops to browse, good choice of restaurants and eateries, in addition to the branch of Waitrose and M&s food hall. The town had a welcoming feel, and the appearance of some Christmas decorations although a little early did enhance the town. Lovely Saturday market too.

I came to visit family who live in Berkhamsted and wanted to be central. It’s a lovely little market town with lots of interesting shops that are within walking distance as well as lots of coffee shops to stop in. We ate in the hotel one evening and the food was fresh and well prepared with very attentive ,friendly staff. I loved the charity shops( we don’t have them in SA) also the antique shops and restaurant We also ate in an Italian restaurant “Ask” I think was the name and had a great meal . Very child friendly and authentic
