Breakfast was excellent, service too, and the staff were attentive without being intrusive. The room was a good size and in these very warm conditions cool. Everything we needed was on hand and we were even surprised that the room was serviced between days of our stay. All in all a very plesant experience, we'll be coming back.

With rooms overlooking the river Wyre, The Cartford Inn is a former 17th-century coaching inn, located on the banks of the River Wyre on Lancashire's Fylde Coast.
Delightful, helpful staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast (scrambled egg would put many 4 and 5 star hotels to shame!). Convenient location for M6. Almost exactly half way between St Andrews and London. Extremely quiet. Easy, plentiful parking in hotel's car park. Well appointed, spacious room. Lovely views over golf course and surrounding countryside. Very good value for money.

Garstang is a small market town, within easy reach of Morecambe bay, Lake District and the Peninnes. The town does not have major stores but a very good selection of local businesses which adds to its charm.
There are a range of pleasant rural walks in the area. Blackpool is also within easy reach.

Garstang is a beautiful little place, it's perfect for ramblers and business people as its on a main trunk road to lancaster/ blackpool and Preston. Its also in countryside so walkers are welcome and Garstang is just one of lots of villages with Cabus,Forton and others within good walking distance. It's a friendly place I would certainly recommend to others.

The town was pleasant, I took a walk by the river. There seemed to be a lot of pubs & cafes in the town. However, I was there to visit a friend in a care home so wasn't really there in a tourist capacity

Garstang was a lovely break from our motorway trip south.
Garstang was a lovely break from our motorway trip south.
Lovely views of countryside and walks along the river, past boats and barges, with a good mix of traditional shops and modern supermarkets!
Noticed lots of "For Sale" notices on properties, many "sold" so others find it desirable!
Breakfast was delicious, good quality produce. Plenty to eat, could of been more options. We were surprised that you could not hear any sound from the bar when we went to the room. We could hear the traffic passing throughout the night. Room was small and so was the bed. Staff serving breakfast was very friendly, bar/hotel staff not so much as they were very busy with pub customers.
Lovely location, room was very spacious with a bath and shower, restaurant was very good, plenty of choice of food at reasonable price and finally every member of staff we dealt with was superb- friendly, knowledgeable and a real credit to the hotel.
The staff from hotel to the bar were all very friendly and were always checking if I required anything. The room was clean and and was well equipped with comfy pillows. The Bathroom was clean and was equipped with Soups and clean white towels.
Lovely traditional bar area, friendly atmosphere, efficient, friendly staff comfortable room and great breakfast. At the end of a thriving high street with plenty of Quality shops and friendly pubs .Ideal base if spending time in Garstang.
The location was very conveinient for our purpose which is to visit my son who is making a film. The Hotel is very quiet, clean and the staff are very accomodating. Excellent car park and appears safe.
Breakfast was great and any items you didn't want on your English breakfast were replaced with alternatives.
Staff were friendly and helpful in both the hotel and the attached bar/restaurant.
Large free carpark behind the hotel and room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was really nice with a good selection to choose from with waitress service.
Quiet location on a golf course. Lots of free parking. Good breakfast buffet, included. Pleasant dining area. Room size and facilities are satisfactory.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Only wished I had booked more nights. But definitely would recommend to anyone. We are hoping to stay at least once a month
