Excellent location, friendly staff. Room was attractive, provided all amenities needed. The housekeeper is delightful and very helpful. The waitress was outstanding. Plenty of breakfast options and our English breakfasts were nicely prepared.

Not only my room, but the shared spaces, were beautiful and well-appointed. There was a lot of thought and care that went into making it comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The organization for an after-hour arrival was well thought out.

Everything is in walking distance and lots of parking in the main square., especially at the end near the church
Lots of independent shops, so perfect for browsing
A large choice of excellent places for breakfast, coffee, lunch or dinner
We love Blenheim Buttery and also The King's Arms
The walk around the lake at Blenheim Palace, Winston Churchill's childhood home is absolutely stunning, whatever the weather

Just a quiet ‘market’ town, mostly individual shops where all the staff working in them were genuinely interested in serving you and making conversation as to why you were visiting and where you’d come from.

Our trip was fundamentally to view the lights and the house at Blenheim Palace; the theme was Sleeping Beauty.
We arrived at about 3pm. Just right as dusk was setting in. We toured the house which was utterly incredible - How a person or company could put together such a phenomental piece of design, unchanging in its beauty, throughout the rooms that had been decorated to continue the theme - I do not know. To continue outside and see the light display was nothing short of sensational - it lit up the whole of the 1.5 miles of the walking tour and the evening sky. An unforgettable experience. The next day we shopped through the village enjoying its ancient buildings and some of the shops filled with objects d`art , clothes, furniture and lighting. An experience that cannot be better but can be changed...........in summer.

Woodstock is a pretty medieval town with many eateries, interesting shops, a free museum, lots of walks and, of course, Blenheim Palace nestled next to it in all its splendour.
Apart from the main Street, there are many attractive side streets to explore.
The buildings are attractive, being made from the local stone which was also used to build Blenheim Palace. They appear to ‘glow’ in the sun.

Blenheim Palace and Gardens are wonderful.
Blenheim Palace and Gardens are wonderful. Eating out is rather expensive but there are several good options.
Woodstock is easily to get around, with some lovely shops and cafes. The small museum is worth a visit.
The greeting by David and his staff throughout, including Laura was excellent. Check in went well, we had a super evening meal and also rally good breakfast the following day. Our room was much bigger than a normal hotel room, almost a separate lounge area, with an L shaped sofa. The nice touches were the real tea leaves and cafetiere and the water and cold milk on ice for all guests left outside the room in the morning. The wet room shower was excellent with super tropical shower large head. Well done the Crown we will be back!
The Marlborough Arms was in the perfect central location. It was a beautiful hotel with an amazing feel and one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in. The rooms were so spacious and extremely comfortable and clean. The staff were so polite and so helpful. Lastly the breakfast was delicious. I’ve never left a review on a hotel before but this hotel was definitely worthy of this review and I would definitely recommend and would book this hotel again.
Many thanks
Steve
Location was perfect for our needs, as we wanted to catch the bus into Oxford centre, and to visit Blenheim Palace, which was only a short walk away.
Plenty of options to eat out in Woodstock, but we chose to cook in each night.
TV had Netflix available and also terestial channels, which was a nice touch.
Always used to stay at The Bear Hotel opposite, but pleased that we chose to stay in this apartment on this occasion, and will definitely stay in the future.
I have stayed there for my short gateway from London and to visit Blenheim Palace. Woodstock is a magical place . The hotel was very good, the staff welcoming supportive and warm. Room just as I like it - magnificent. Enjoyed 100% my stay my room and my visit. Would recommend and will come back for sure . Thank you once again
An historic hotel in the middle of Woodstock - the staff were incredibly friendly and made accommodations for us after there was an issue with our originally booked room. The food and service was great, the bed comfy, the WiFi and hot water strong, and the hotel is right in the middle of the town.
Location, location, location! Lovely to have been able to stay so centrally. House was comfortable and just right for a short stay in Woodstock with Blenheim park virtually on the doorstep (if you know where the town gate is!) and plenty of shops to poke around and superb restaurants and pubs.
Woodstock is a lovely place to visit. The staff at The King's Arms were polite, friendly and efficient. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We thought the price of the room was very reasonable and we would recommend this hotel to our friends and family.
Perfectly situated in the centre of Woodstock but slightly tucked away giving a sense of personal charm.
Welcoming staff, large room, wonderful restaurant
