Nice location, big grounds. Breakfast was of good quality and lots of choice. Staff very friendly and allowed us to check in early as we were attending a wedding locally.

I liked the room, but my mattress needs changing, All the reception staff, three guys and the lady were exceptional. The guy at the restaurant (manager, cooks, bartends, and an amazing host, perhaps from the Islands), Despite the River Thames, the environment was superb. The older fellow and perhaps, the housekeeping supervisor was very helpful as well.

We have traveled a lot of the years and YOY was friendly and organised.
The only thing worth mentioning is the stairs are steep and it maybe a problem if someone have heavy cases or a knee disability. Overall, everything else was good. Plenty of everything and the owners try hard to make your stay a happy one.

We only stayed one night but about half a mile away from the hotel we found a restaurant which overlooks the Thames and had a wonderful meal which made up a little for the disappointment with the hotel we booked

Boulters Mill and Ray Mill Island were fabulous to walk around, had a nice coffee in a lovely spot at the Piazza just a little further on from the Boathouse which we sat at but didn't order at as they were coming into lunch service and we just wanted coffee. Ate on a very warm summer's evening at Roux at Skindles Mill which was on our doorstep having stayed at the Thames Riveria Hotel. We sat on the terrace and ate a most delightful meal, finished up at the Hall & Woodhouse Boatyard at which we sat outside all evening as very warm. All in all a superb day with lots of lovely things to do and places to go. Evening before we had gone to the Bear near Maidenhead town and that was very pleasant and reasonable as you would expect from Wetherspoons.

Good stay but I belive it should be made clear that there are two buildings and you may not actually stay in the hotel building but the adjacent building and our room did not have a safe or dressing gown and slippers as other rooms do.

The accommodation is within walking distance of the river and there is an excellent Thai restaurant in the next street and I can highly recommend the food. My trip was for work purposes, so I didn't have time for sightseeing.

The river and walks around are lovely.
The river and walks around are lovely. Boulter's Lock is very close - a noted beauty spot, as is Cliveden with its extensive NT gardens, river walk and echoes of scandal.
Maidenhead itself, on the other hand, is badly run-down, as are so many town centres these days. The shopping mall would have been modest in its heyday, but with many empty units, betting and charity shops on its high Street, it resembles the epitome of broken Britain. The shopping centre car park is now closed, permanently by the look of it, and the nearest multistorey is a nightmare to access with evidence of many cars leaving paintwork on the narrow entry/exit bollards.
An area that obviously has many exceptionally expensive private houses and quite extensive recently built apartments, reveals an unexpectedly disappointing town centre.
Perfect staycation in a beautiful property by the riverside. We received a warm welcome and really enjoyed the artistic atmosphere, especially at the living room. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was absolutely massive. The breakfast was decent. The property is less that 15 mins walk from Maidenhead center, although we preferred the riverside walk towards Taplow and also to Bray where you can sample some of the finest culinary delights of the country.
Room had a great view of the Thames. The staff were lovely and very helpful. I do a lot of business travel. The breakfast was probably the best cooked breakfast from a hotel I've ever had. Sausages were very good both myself and my wife noted they were not cheap and horrible but good quality. Eggs were cooked on request ;-)
Parking is ample and with good security. Cannot fault the hotel at all!
We were attending a weekend wedding at nearby Cliveden. Taplow House came recommended to us by friends who regularly visit Cliveden and are looking for accommodation close-by.
We were barely at the hotel 12 hours, arriving late and then heading out, but, the night and morning staff were great. Breakfast was especially lovely aswell. We would stay again.
The facilities were very good. The deluxe room was excellent, nice size room with a good size bathroom. There was a DAB radio by the bed which was a bonus as my husband listen to it every night.
The dining and breakfast facilities and food was excellent. The Hotel was situated in a nice area and was central to visit other places we wanted to see.
Carla is amazing, she answered all my messages quickly and made sure we had a comfortable stay. She also gave us extra blankets when mentioned that we were cold. The room for 3 was quite spacious, comfortable beds, fridge in the room, plenty of toiletries and the breakfast was also great. Great place for a short stay in Maidenhead!
Everything, wonderful spacious room with everything needed for a stress free stay, secure of road parking is a bonus over town centre locations. Frank and Anabela are the perfect hosts.
It’s a nice quite location and a short walk to Boulters Lock on the river Thames and only a 20 minute walk to Maidenhead town centre.
This is a great Hotel. Those people submitting negative reviews should think about how much they are paying and the quality they are getting for their money. Location excellent, room large with quality fittings. The new General Manager is superb and is no doubt making a difference. This Hotel deserves to do well.
It was secure, clean, roomy, and quiet. Modern
and up to date with usb ports in all
the rooms. Grocery store across the
street, little clean town with shops pub
and restaurants in walking distance.
Maidenhead train station close walk,
bus and uber with ease and quick.
The evening menu in the restaurant. No need to go into the town centre. During 4 days of our stay we walked sections of the Thames Path so we didn't have must energy left to walk into Maidenhead for dinner.
Breakfast, dinner and location was excellent.
beautiful hotel set on the side of the river Thames. rooms were small but very comfortable and had everything you needed. the breakfast was lovely, nice bar and outside seating to watch the boats and swans, perfect choice for us
Large, comfortable, quiet, well-equipped room ( number 6 ) overlooking pool and garden. Staff ( Sarah ) was most helpful, hospitable and accommodating. Good parking and wi-fi. Great walks from the hotel along the Thames paths
All the staff were very helpful, couldn’t do enough for you very friendly.
Loved the hotel the surrounding area, so relaxing.
When we enquired about the age of the hotel we were even given a booklet for us to read
From the outside the hotel looks shocking, I thought I had the wrong place - however once you're inside it is very nice, good decoration and fabulous pool.
