Super kid and family friendly hotel. Everyone was incredibly warm. Seems like their normal clientele is mainly comprised of French Canadians, so almost all conversations initially begin in French, but everyone seamlessly switches to English without any issue once it’s clear you don’t speak French. The pool area, splash pad and playground were fun for all ages because there’s also an adjacent hot tub. The restaurant went out of their way to make the kids feel special. They even had their own soft serve machine and let the kids make their own ice cream sundae after their meal. Given the cold and rainy weather while we were in town, we weren’t cooped up in our hotel room because of all of the kid friendly amenities. There was even a kids play room where our 9yo got her nails painted and the kids could play with sand, blocks, air hockey, etc. Free parking. Festive holiday decorations. We couldn’t take advantage of all of the activities Thursday-Sunday because we had things to do in town, but a family could come to the hotel for a weekend and not have to leave for basically anything. Highly recommend.

Quebec City is one of my favorite places to visit.

Quebec City is one of my favorite places to visit. It is beautiful, charming and quaint. I brought my daughter and her family there for their first visit and they were delighted. They were thrilled to see where their ancestors, the Bouchards, came from around 1650. The younger ones rented bikes to tour around and we found a great gluten free bakery, Chez Hansel and Gretel. The family loved the ghost tour. I first visited Quebec City with my French students in the 1990’s and fell in love with it. I have been back 5 times now both with family and students.

Views of the water & historical landmarks were the best. Tourist Visitors Center was awesome. We used it several times. So many tourists fighting for sidewalk space & outdoor seating for meals got to be a challenge. We did whale watching tour & Plains of Abraham tour. We visited Parliament - check in there was very through. We thought we were cleared for state secrets. Ha!

The small old town part is nice but at times feels artificial, other than that it’s not worth to go if you aren’t into fine dining. The latter surely is nice but if I had the chance to go again I’d rather go to Ottawa instead

The old city of Quebec, surrounded by a sick wall, is an experience not to be missed. The last remaining walled city in North America, with its narrow cobblestone streets, centuries old buildings, French restaurants and cafés, Old Quebec feels like a different world and a different century. We never tire a visiting, even after dozens and dozens of visits over the years.

Loved the location - right across from the Chateau Frontenac and in the middle of all the streetside restaurants and entertainers. The room was much larger than expected. We loved the corner room with high ceilings and plenty of windows - and views, of course! This was my third stay in Old Quebec City, and by far this was the best hotel.
