A great place for boat tours of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle is located just outside the village. The village itself is very pleasant with a beautiful village green which had a market on it the day we left. The Fiddlers Restaurant on the village green was a great place to eat, drink and watch the world go by. Urquhart Castle is well worth visiting with a great visitor centre and Loch Ness as a splendid backdrop to the stunning castle remains.Guest review byStephenHong Kong - 10.0

This is from previous experience as the hotel I stayed in was some distance outside. Drumnadrochit is a lovely little town and well worth stopping over for a night on your travels. Fab little village, friendly and welcoming. Great base for exploring the area. Just plan your evening meals as not much choice after 5pm. Everything Nessi related can be found here. The town (or village) is very nice and compact.
The town (or village) is very nice and compact. It has the perfect location, very close to Uruqhart Castle and the Loch Ness itself, and at the same time has a direct access to the Affric and Uruqhart Glen, west to Loch Ness. However, if you are more interested in the eastern shores of Loch Ness, you shouldn't stay in Drumnadrochit, because then you'll have to drive at least an hourGuest review byAnonymousIsrael - 10.0

I was warned of difficulty finding somewhere to eat and thus booked ahead at the Loch Ness Inn, which was quite good and there was music there as well. The town has a lovely couple of Highland Coos, Rocky and Hamish, which we were able to feed grass from the fence-line. We headed up to the Clansman Harbour and had a magnificent cruise on Loch Ness, which travelled down to Urquhart Castle and back. It was an absolute highlight of our trip.Guest review byAlan - 10.0

I’ve passed through many times going to Inverness.. it’s a lovely wee town, really peaceful, we got a lovely Chinese am not joking it was the best Chinese ever! Will be coming back next month, we went up to Inverness for the day but we did plan to book the Loch Ness cruise but it was fully booked!
