The location was excellent and close to the ferry port, where I needed to be early the following morning! The hotel had a lovely atmosphere and plenty of comfortable areas to sit, either for a drink or food! The views were fabulous from the hotel and the outside seating areas were well positioned and clean. The staff at the hotel from checking in were great and were very friendly and put me at ease, particularly being a solo female traveller.

The staff was very friendly, our check-in process was very pleasant, and we got recommendations on what to do in the evening - we booked to have dinner at the hotel (which was very nice, and had sufficient vegetarian options!) and visited the suggested Morar Beach. The sunset we saw from our sea view room was incredible.

What Guests Said About Lochailort:

The bedroom was very comfortable and quiet and nicely...

The bedroom was very comfortable and quiet and nicely decorated and the setting around the Inn was absolutely gorgeous. The lady on reception - Kasia? - was super helpful and helped re-tune the tv twice. The breakfast was delicious and included in the price - the only suggestion would be to have more than 1 person dealing with orders for breakfast. He said everyone had come down at once and he looked a bit overwhelmed but was very pleasant and did prioritise our order as we had an 8am taxi (breakfast starts at 7.30am). The Inn is 100 m from the railway station. You can get off the train to Mallaig at Lochailort if you request the stop from the train guard.
