Mill Cottage in Mansfield has accommodations with free WiFi, 5.4 miles from Sherwood Forest, 6.6 miles from Clumber Park and 19 miles from National Ice Centre. A lovely cottage in a quiet location. The cottage was very well supplied with all things necessary for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was easy to use and I found everything I needed. We especially enjoyed the fire and the view from the windows over the fields and the horses. Proximity to Sherwood Forest and some excellent pubs was an important part of our stay and the bus service into Nottingham was very handy.
We made an emotional visit to Mansfield Museum.. the hotel had no booking for us from yourselves.. I phoned to say that we would be half hour late.. the night girl said they hadn’t got any rooms.. we had been driving 4 hours already by this time.. very upsetting..
This hotel is well outside Mansfield with views of fields and woods. It is quiet and our stay left little to be desired. The annexe was excellent, but if you want excellent views from your room, it could be better to request an upstairs room in the main building. Unusually among hotels, we found little or nothing to complain about! Really nice.
We were immediately made to feel very welcome upon arrival! The rooms were single rooms, as we asked/paid for and lovely, light, airy and quiet. The home-cooked breakfasts were the best I have had so far. The bed/mattrass was of very good quality (nice and firm) and I slept very well. The guesthouse was centrally located and therefore perfect for sightseeing around the area. The places we wanted to visit were all within around 30 minutes driving which was perfect. I highly recommend Bridleways Guesthouse!
I grew up here and we just came to visit relatives for a birthday. The town has most things you need. Head to Sherwood forest and Edwinstowe. The old mining sites have been regenerated to walks. There's a good museum
First time in Mansfield visiting friends. Lovely place to visit, lots of pubs and food places. Late at night felt very safe, lots of young people milling around enjoying themselves in a positive manor. Noticed 2 retail parks and lots of shops, so next time will stay longer and do some retail therapy.
This was a lovely house just perfect for our group of 5 for a two night stay with a day at the centre parcs spa. It is very clean and comfortable with free WiFi, lots of kitchen utensils for cooking and nice toiletries in bathroom. Handy local shops and nice area to sit out in evening. Only downside was the narrow drive - I could get my ford fiesta through easily but my friend didn’t want to try her bigger car. Also the house is attached to a shop open till about 10.30 and the workers going up and down their stairs is loud in the front room.
