The staff were friendly and attentive. Our room overlooking the harbour was just gorgeous. Super comfy large bed and walk in shower. The lounge area that doubled as breakfast area and public dining area was elegant and welcoming; soft leather bucket chairs and squishy sofas! The location was ideal with seats outside to sip wine and watch the world go by. A really lovely hotel experience. We didn't use the :hidden cinema' but other guests did and remarked upon how good it was.

The location was perfect, every single member of the staff was helpful and friendly (ask Annie where to eat!) and the place itself is beautiful. That it’s been in the family almost 50 years is palpable. I felt that I was visiting cousins I’d never met. The heater in the bathroom meant your bath towel (and underwear…) was always dry in time. Breakfast kept you going all day. Plenty of gorgeous walks right outside your door. And the VIEWS!

We had a room up under the eaves and it was amazing. The window opened out into a small balcony and we could lie in bed and see the sea! We had great weather and the location was stunning. A few minutes walk and we were at the beach. The cafe at the beach serves very yummy food and the view from the cafe is spectacular. Some great coastal walks so close. Car parking was very easy and the breakfasts were good. Would definitely recommend this place.

St Mawes was a lovely village with a nice blend of shops, pubs and hotels. Great views and a dog friendly harbour beach. We walked around St Mawes, driving not so easy. The whole area is beautiful

Lovely area but as it is on a peninsular long drive to get anywhere else. Ferry to Falmouth very convenient tho. Huge council car park nearby and we bought a 7 day ticket for £35. Most places under staffed in June 2024. We were on b&b in hotel but options for eating elsewhere limited and expensive. But local fish and chips brilliant.

Excellent place to stay and in easy reach and/or driveable distance to features such as tropical gardens and a nice exploratory walk through the wooded gardens leading to the beach. Also. a visit to the only city in Cornwalll, Truro was interesting with many features. One visit we made was to to a Gold Mine Centre called Togus and free of charge (no entry fee!) not far from Truro

The location is beautiful. It’s right on the sea front and the views from the breakfast room are splendid. The restaurant food is great, and breakfast is really scrumptious. The staff were really accommodative for our family, especially helping us rectify some small issues. They really did go out of their way to help us, especially Ellie and Daisy. The vibe is relaxed, with great music and feeling around the hotel. We went in early July when it’s a little quieter around the area which was perfect. I’d really reccomend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel in an idyllic location on the sea front in a picturesque little town. Staff went above & beyond (especially as I had made an error with booking dates) Room was exceptional and the vibe throughout the hotel was lovely. We had dinner, breakfast and room service and the food and drinks were all top class! The outdoor seating area at the front is a delightful area to sit, eat and drink or just enjoy the view overlooking the harbour. Would love to think we will visit again and would certainly highly recommend.

The staff were very helpful and the room was probably one of the best we have ever had in an hotel, absolutely fabulous. Dinner in the dinning room was OK but not great. The menu was unimaginative and a little expensive for what we had. It was a Sunday and my wife had the roast which was probably left over from lunch time and a little tired. I had mussels which could have been hotter. Other than hamburgers there didn't appear to be any fresh cooked meats available such as steak.
