The proximity to Stamford Town center, it was 12 minute walk, with Private parking and my own private entrance.
The room offered everything I needed, a home away from home. Spotlessly
clean, light, bright and airy. Local art & images adorned the walls. Excellent provision of instant and ground fresh coffee, teas, sugars etc. loads of fresh milk, butter, jams, 3 options on breakfast cereals. Full size fridge, microwave and toaster. Rachel
popped in to say hello and check I was all sorted.
Beautiful little town. I took masses of photos of the buildings. There were lots of good places to eat and coffee shops to rest in. The shops were attractive and there were lots of small independent shops. Walking by the river was pleasant.

Stamford is a very pretty old town in Lincolnshire.
Stamford is a very pretty old town in Lincolnshire. There are lots of restaurants and old pubs and old hotels to stay. There is a high street with independent shops to browse. The biggest attraction is the architecture of the buildings, it's like going back in time a hundred years.

It is a stunning town, with great historical architecture, and all the shops have been carefully designed to blend in as much as possible. There is a wonderful array of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, and a street market (which I missed), and I wish I could have stayed longer. It is very lovely to walk around, with wonderful views and buildings around every corner. I came specifically for the International Music Festival, which I enjoyed thoroughly. It is also an extremely dog friendly town, with many cafes, bars and restaurants welcoming dogs. I hope to return for a longer visit - soon.

Stamford is a beautiful Georgian market town with lots of things to do and places to visit nearby. Shopping is very enjoyable as there are plenty of independent shops as well as the usual clothing chains. The Friday open air market was excellent and there were lots of bargains to be had. The choice of restaurants and cafes was very good. We can recommend Amore for its Italian cuisine and Kancchi for Indian/ Nepalese food, but would advise that you book in advance if possible.

The hotel was well located in Stamford. The room was very comfortable, with double glazed windows which cut out all outside noise. The room also had excellent coffee making facilities, and bottled still and sparkling water were complimentary.
The ensuite bathroom was very large, with a selection of toiletries
from The White Company and fabulously soft towels.
The choice of breakfast was very varied and included full English breakfast, vegan breakfast and eggs Benedict. All delicious.
Amazing location right in the centre of Stamford , old hotel with a modern refurbishment to a very high standard. I would book a larger double next time as room 16 is beautiful but a cosy small double which I knew. The staff were great and the breakfast was excellent with a very good selection.
We didn’t eat a main meal there as we were at a wedding but the hotel restaurant was packed and the food looked amazing. Would definitely recommend.
Katie was just the most brilliant host really warm and friendly making sure all my needs were met
