It's a lovely seaside town with the usual attractions such as boat trips, arcades and crazy golf. What I did think was good were the amount of public toilets, especially as we went during the peak time of August!! There are plenty of cafes and places to eat. Swanage is a lovely is a traditional seaside town, with a long safe, clean beach and promenade. The shops consist of lots of fish and chip shops, gift shops and the usual amusement arcade found in traditional seaside towns. The sea view from room 41 was beautiful and we throughly enjoyed the unexpected bonus of being able to access the beach from the hotel garden (via steep but well-maintained steps) giving us the opportunity to walk into Swanage.
