Beautiful haven in between the Trasimene lake and Montepulciano. Very calm, amazingly beautiful, delicious restaurant and very welcoming staff. All in all, a perfect place.

The location is breathtakingly beautiful. This historical property was built in the 12 Century and I was told was a village! Wait for the sunset and take lots of pics. Book their vineyard tour ahead. Breakfast was good - only scrambled eggs and hard boiled offered. I requested fresh ricotta which I received at no extra cost. Rooms are large suites with kitchen. One flight up stairs suites are too steep for older guests and kids - ask for ground level rooms.

We just loved this hotel. It felt like old world Italy in both the decor and the family way in which it was run. There were appetizers out before dinner and cookies out after dinner, with after dinner drinks and bar service available. The staff was so happy to help with anything, and always smiling. The breakfast was delicious. And it was a 5 minute walk from town. We had such a lovely stay! Thank you!

The hotel property owners were the smiliest and most accommodating people. The location is in the heart of the old town of Castiglione del Lago so <30 second access to bars/restaurants. Breakfast was a real highlight, amazing selection of italian pastries and sandwiches with fresh coffee served. Driving up to the hotel you go through the old gates of Castiglione which was a squeeze but the hosts were there to help and accordingly sort our parking. A hotel with old world Italian charm.

It was a fairytale holiday for us. Villa stand on peaceful environment. Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. Pool side and garden gave serenity. We definetly will come back!

The pool is fabulous. Great walks in the countryside. Very friendly people work there and interesting people stay there. A short drive into Cortona, but plenty of good restaurants without having to drive up into the city.
