United StatesThe location is amazing, the beach wasn't too impacted by the sargassum, but we didn't swim in the ocean. We did a great tour in the bay, saw dolphins, manatee, and we were able to buy lobsters right from the fisherman's dock. Very well maintained facility, there was only one other family in the whole place.

United StatesWe were thrilled by the transporting experience of arriving to this remote, luxurious hotel by water. (Make sure to confirm the availability of the boat before committing to your stay). We stayed in a bungalow, which was comfortable, finely appointed, and afforded direct views through coconut palms across the beach to the ocean. It was mesmerizing, and a sense of intense calm pervaded our time there. The food is delicious, if somewhat rich, as is the tendency of luxury resorts. It would be a good idea to bring some healthy snacks with you to balance things out. (And come prepared to pay $30 usd for cocktails, admittedly one of the best mezcalitas I’ve had). We also enjoyed our excursion into the lagoon, and to swim and snorkel out in the reef and bathtub-like turquoise Caribbean. There is not much to do once at the property, although the time passed quickly in our relaxed and enchanted state. The hotel bikes were being repaired but the heavily cratered road would have been a rough ride. The beach is spectacular and swimmable, and beautifully maintained. Beyond the property limits, however, the beach is heavily littered with trash, which casts a shadow on this glamorous vision of paradise. We wish the hotel would partner with other property owners and the government to clean up the beaches, or at least make an effort to clean the beaches nearby, especially considering its UNESCO status.

Punta Allen seems to be a virgin place in Mexico.
Punta Allen seems to be a virgin place in Mexico. Not many tourists not many places like restaurants or shops. Its full of sargaso and at the moment properties cant deal with it and many of them are on the beach. But you can have nice excursions to see dolphins at the nature ,we took the fishers boat and went to see dolphins and turtles do some snorkel,kids loved it! If you are seeking an unique experience in a very special accomodation directly at the beach, being kissed good morning by the sun while still in bed and joying Anita for a morning coffee at the beach watching the sun rise - we recommend this place. Be aware that there is not 24/7 electricity and sometimes there are problems with the wifi-connection (whole town). However, the charms and relaxed way of people living in Punta Allen totally help to forget about everything and just enjoy the beautiful nature.Guest review byAnnaAustria

I understand it is completely out of their control. Nature is unpredictable. Staff is very friendly and willing to help. Food is delicious because they have a great chef.
