Public transport is not user friendly.
Public transport is not user friendly. At least two operators and separate ticketing. MTR It is not credit card friendly (only few places support card payment) and even does accept only 1 and 5 rigid banknotes. Touch'n go card (which should cover MTR + Komuter) top up also by cash. The best part of my stay was the tour I did to the Batu Caves, Ramayana Caves, and Kanching Falls, and this was because the tour guide was superb, giving us a great history of Malaysia, and a feast of information about aspects of life in Malaysia. After Cambodia, the customer service in Kuala Lumpur was pretty lacklustre. Eat with the locals where you will get the best feeds and flavours. Get out of the touristy spots it's so much more easier and relaxed. We always have great fun and great value for money. Changkat and Alor Street were great but I enjoyed exploring the side streets and eating and drinking with other nationalities in their restaurants and bars. So many to choose from 3 nights and two full days was too short in hindsight. 4 nights and 3 full days would better. Please note - if you want to visit the Petronas Towers experience book in advance.
