We arrived for breakfast, seated ourselves. We waited 10 minutes before our server came over to tell us the Chef just went on break and would not be back for 30 minutes. We had to leave. There was a used dirty towel in our bathroom. There was no ironing board in the room. The TV in the living room did not work. The The AC could not keep the guest sleeping area cool.

Loaded with hotels near ORD, many to choose from, I would prefer Super 8 on Touhy Ave, it is close to ORD, has free shuttle and breakfast and a couple fast food restaurants within walking distance. See my review!

If you have a one night layover after a long flight or drive this area is just what you need to avoid the stress and hassle of Chicago. The food at the Korner House is great, and the Motel 6 is one of the best the chain has to offer.

Positives: The room was big and it was convenient to the airport. the price was ok but I expect things to work properly. Sadly they did not work. Negatives: Air conditioning condenser sounded like a jet passing over the hotel and it went on every 15 minutes to cool the room, so it was extremely loud. It kept me awake all night. The toilet seal leaked water. The shower hot water took more than 2 minutes to get hot. The coffee maker did not work. It heated the water but did not pump it through to the coffee sachet. There are no elevators and if you use a cane as I do, you had to walk up about 20 steps to get to the 2nd floor. There was no fresh fruit or breads in the lobby coffee area as stated by management. Hotel never answered either of two emails I sent requesting how I contact the free airport shuttle and where to pickup. I had to make a phone call upon my arrival. I advised hotel front desk of all room related problems upon my check out.

If you don't drive, if you are just staying for one night, if you are not looking for any nice place to eat within walking distance, if you are ok with basic facilities, this hotel is a very good choice. Shuttle bus is always operated by only one driver, so you may need to wait about 30 minutes. Please ask the reception how long you may have to wait. I called twice to see how long to wait. There are only three places to eat around the hotel within walking distance. Subway, Burger king and a local pub restaurant.

I stayed just for one night as it was a stop for my family's flight the next day. So I could not explore the area much. But I would believe it would be good with so many nice hotels n restaurants around !!!
