Two lovely beaches within walking distance although the walk to the sea is quite far out . The sand has a gorgeous glittery silver effect to it. Lots of pubs around and the locals are very friendly . We ate at The Welcome Home and the food was very nice and huge portions . Lots of parks around too and things for children . An eyesore upon arrival, loved the yurt it was massive but the fire was way too small it needs to be bigger, needs more outdoor lights more secure ground work with drainage, mixed shower/toilet block, £10 per bag of fire lighting equipment and was only allowed to buy one per night and because the fire wouldn’t stay lit we frize so checked out early. We enjoyed the beach with the dunes beside it.
We enjoyed the beach with the dunes beside it. It also has an Art creation “Time & Tide Bells” erected in the sea, that rings with the stronger waves at high tide. There are 13 of these bells 🔔 across the country, to bring more awareness of the imminent threats of climate change. The Clay Factory on the other side of the beach, spoils the view a bit. It’s meant to be replaced by a marina in time to come. We visited the beautiful harbour of Charlestown and walked the SW Coastal Path to Porthpean to round of our wonderful visit to that part of St Austell, Cornwall.Guest review byAnonymous

All the apartments are spacious and well presented. They are ideally located in the town very close to a Co-Op store, 20 mins walk to Par Sands beach and Pubs, and a short drive to the Eden project. The owner was really helpful with the booking. Apt 1 is upstairs facing the main road through a porch door opposite the key boxes. Apt 2 is on the front ground floor by the main road. The property is separate enough from the main house so you don’t feel you are staying in somebodies home but Claire is around to answer any queries or questions.
