The apartment was lovely. The kitchen was well equipped and you could hear the babbling brook right outside the bedrooms if you opened the windows. The neighborhood--Stockbridge--was great. Lots of little shops and restaurants and walkable (albeit uphill for part of it) to many of the sights.

This is a beautiful ground floor apartment with a Scandi chic interior design! It is an ideal base for exploring Edinburgh. Situated in the affluent area of Stockbridge in a quiet backwater, the property is a short walk into the heart of the city! Stockbridge is well known for its trendy shops, cafes restaurants and having the Water of Leith run through it! A lovely setting and a lovely in a quiet residential area. Please note we love our neighbours and do not want parites held here :) The space The apartment is beautiful presented with a minimalist design. There is WIFI, heating and hot water all included. The living room is cosy and equipped with a comfotable sofa, a sofa bed, flat screen TV - perfect for a movie night after a long day exploring the city! The kitchen is fully equipped with items such as dining table and 4 chairs, toaster, kettle, oven, grill, hob, fridge, freeze etc. The bedroom is bright and cosy with a very comfy bed! The bedroom will come fitted with fresh sheets, towels and duvet/pillows as shown in the image. The modern bathroom has a full size bath, toilet, sink and gorgeous shower. All towels and bath mats will be provided.

Neighborhood info

Stockbridge has something of a village atmosphere about it, although it is only a ten to fifteen minute walk from Edinburgh city centre. Stockbridge is to the North edge of the Edinburgh New Town and it melds into Inverleith to the North and West. It is alongside the Water of Leith one of the main rivers running through Edinburgh. Sleepy Dean Village is a 15 minute walk away along the riverside. Gentrification in recent years has not killed the Stockbridge area's bohemian vibe, although the pokey wee music, junk, and crafts shops have been replaced by more upmarket antiques shops. Along the main Comely Bank road, there's also still an above average number of charity shops for bargain hunters. The area is characterised by the many delis, tea houses, small restaurants, cafes, and pubs. For evenings out, the narrow St Stephen's Street is a good place to start with long-established and popular basement pubs such as The Baillie and The Antiquary. Inverleith Park is the nearest park in the area, a large expanse of green, with the Botanic Gardens adjacent, literally just across the road from Inverleith Park's North East perimeter
