We felt very much at home. Shona fixed delicious breakfasts for us. I woke up to the sound of the cattle lowing. We were able to walk around the sheds to get a closer look at them. We had a beautiful drive to Glencoe. The location is lovely. Shona also was helpful in telling us about the Londis store nearby that has “everything”. I think it does. That’s where we bought our dinner. I wish we could have stayed longer. We’ll just have to come back.

Rod and Andrea were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast that you can order the night before was great. Crianlarich is very small and quiet. Be aware that you should make dinner plans early because places close fairly early.

The hotel upgraded my room to the main hotel with a restaurant and bar. The rooms and staff are terrific. It is in a small town at a crossroad to several glens, so perfect for me as I had chosen hill walks nearby.

The location was wonderful as you can access hiking trails from the property. The chalet was also cute with comfortable rooms for multiple adults. The living room was also a nice size- overall a charming chalet

    A very central location for exploring Scotland's Southern...

    A very central location for exploring Scotland's Southern Highlands - easy to take in Loch Lomond , Loch Awe and Oban area and get up to GlenCoe from here. Lovely scenery on the doorstep and convenient local shops . The Real Food Cafe a few miles to the nortth at Tyndrum offers amazing food all day in a cozy atmosphere.

    Small town, cute corner store with nice staff. Best western hotel had a nice lounge and good breakfast options. Nothing to do in the town, definitely just a pit stop, would skip it if ever hiking the west highland way again.

    Crianlarich is a wee village in the heart of the southern...

    Crianlarich is a wee village in the heart of the southern highlands, ideally placed for hiking, especially if you are climbing Munros -- there must be 30 or more within 40 miles, and about 4 you can climb right from the village. It is very easily accessed by train and bus, although having a car gives you a lot more options. There is one small shop that seems to sell everything! Places you can visit easily from Crianlarich include Falls of Dochart, Loch Tay, Glen Lochay, Glen Lyon, Loch Lomond, Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Glen Orchy, Glen Etive.

    The village is small with one shop.

    The village is small with one shop. The local pub serves good food. The problem I encountered was to do with the misleading mileage on the West Highland Way from Rowardennan. It was actually 22 miles and over half of it over very rocky/muddy paths alongside Loch Lomond. Getting to and staying at Crianlarich was a nice relief

    Beautiful area, close to many Lochs, Glens, mountains and rivers. Many natural places of interest within short driving distance. Great place for walkers and adventurers. The lovely quaint village has various eateries, a supermarket store The Green Welly and petrol station.

    It's a cozy family-run B&B. It is easily accessible by car or a ~40min walk from Crianlarich train station. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was fully equipped with soap/shampoo/cotton pads. The room also had a teakettle, a selection of teas and a big mirror. The breakfast can be picked from the menu in the morning, everything is fresh and cooked from scratch. Both owners are lovely people and they also have a cute dog.

    The communal areas were large and well equipped. A nice place to eat, and relax. The staff gave a warm welcome and were very helpful. Lovely location too. It was a nice touch to have usb charging points in the bedroom too. The shop down the road had ample supplies for food for dinner, and the bar in the best western hotel was nice for a drink.

    Nice place, room could have been a little bit cleaner, bathroom bin had not been emptied. We arrived back at the hotel after the shops had closed, asked for a glass of milk for our toddler and were charged £1:80. The staff were really lovely though and it’s a nice spot.

    We stayed here as part of the WHW. Our rooms were upgraded and they were fantastic. Hotel, staff and food were all first class. We chose to dine in the restaurant for dinner and the breakfast was included the following morning - All delicious!
