Company info

Eastside Farm is a working, organic hill sheep farm in the Pentland Hills Regional Park. The hills surrounding the accommodation are still farmed by the Cowan family - as they have been for five generations. We'll provide detailed instructions on how to find the Steading Cottage - and most of the time we will be there to show you into your cottage. We live across the farmyard and are on hand if you need us, but otherwise we'll not disturb your stay.

The Woodshed is a modern architectural gem just 10 miles from central Edinburgh. At the end of a winding farm track, this luxury self-catering hideaway is surrounded by the rugged heather hills & glens of the Pentland Hills Regional Park. Explore walking the hills from your doorstep or relax in your private wood fired hot tub. The building is in a Scandivian, modern timber style and architect-designed.

Neighborhood info

The Woodshed is on an organic working hill farm with the Pentland Hills Regional Park. It is surrounded by hills with miles of open green space - ideal for walking or mountain biking. Edinburgh is only a short drive away (about 20mins). There is free parking next to the accommodation. The accommodation is accessed via a 1 mile farm track off the main road. We therefore recommend using a car for your stay. There are EV chargers that guests may use located at Eastside on the other side of the valley from Westside Woodshed (5mins drive or 10mins walk).
