The staff make this hotel special by how friendly they all are. They cannot do enough for you and treat you with kindness and as an individual. I think as it is a small hotel, that is part of the reason which makes it so personal. It is tucked down a small lane and has beautiful views of the countryside and the sea in the distance. Still only 10 minutes drive to Whitstable. It was so relaxing to sit on the terrace with a drink, a book and the view .

Great seaside town for lovers of fresh seafood, pubs, indie shops, stunning views of sea and coastal walks or cycling. Really close to Canterbury. Evening drinks and good watching sun set are a must/do - the Neptune pub full of character with amazing views.

Lovely little town with lots of independent shops and cafes.
Lovely little town with lots of independent shops and cafes. Harbour area was particularly pleasant although parking in this area was expensive. Plenty of town centre parking. We visited in April so the town was quite quiet but I imagine in the summer, it would be busy. Visited Whitstable Castle but not much to see or do there although the gardens were pretty.

We liked the wide choice of pubs and restaurants and cafes.
The local people helpful and friendly. We liked the art deco styling of The Peter Cushing pub and the drinks were the cheapest in Whitstable.
Interesting to read about the actor who used to live in one of the characterful houses on the seafront.

Whitstable is lovely although the hotel we stayed at isabove the Tankerton slopes that lead down to the beach at Tankerton. The beach is pebbles but clean. The town of whitstable is quaint with small independent shops. There is an excellent fish snd chip shop in the town Jones, although that is closing down soon. Plenty of lovely restaurants and coffee shops.
What a hidden gem… On arrival we were met by Anna who was friendly and welcomed us to the Suite.
5 star boutique hotel facilities, power shower, luxurious fluffy bathrobes and the finest bed linen, really comfortable bed, newly refurbished and immaculately clean.
Breakfast was absolutely delicious and a fantastic choice.
Beautifully sea views and attention to every detail. I can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you so much, will be back for longer next time ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The location was perfect, right in the centre of Whistable. The view from our window/balcony of the beach was brilliant.
Our main reason for choosing his option rather than other locations was it parking space (a rare commodity in Whitstable!). The accommodation is room only, tea and coffee making facilities only but there is the option of having breakfast at The Continental Hotel (the owners of the properties) but there are many other options also nearby.
The property was bright and airy and incredibly clean upon arrival. The mini fridge was stocked with water and juice and there were tea and coffee making facilities on both floors with ample wardrobe space. The location was fantastic, just 2 minutes walk to the sea front and next to a lot of restaurants. There’s an allocated parking space which was much appreciated. Check in is at the Hotel Continental where the staff were lovely.
From the moment I entered, the staff were amazingly friendly. Our family room was huge and really nicely decorated. The views from the restaurant were great and made a good back drop for a relaxing drink and something to eat. A cab down to Whitstable Harbour was about £7 so a great place to stay when visiting the buzzing restaurants along there. Would definitely recommend-the website does not do the hotel justice.
Comfy room with lots of treats, and great hosts.
A swim in the mornings in their lovely pool before an amazing breakfast.
The location at Tankerton meant a lovely long walk along the coast in to Herne Bay, a shorter walk into Whitstable, and a pub and a Hotel just a five minute walk both serving good food and local ales.
All this meant that we didn’t use our car throughout our 2 night stay.
The view from our room (balcony with sea view) was amazing. The location of the hotel is great too with a nice walk along the seafront into town. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and really helped to make our trip enjoyable. The hotel is dog friendly too which meant our puppy could come on holiday with us :) Very good breakfast - loads of choice!!
A lovely cosy room right in a perfect location in Whitstable. Lower score on the facilities as bathroom/shower so tiny I had go go back into the room to turn around but did not detract from our stay. The kitchen facilities are very limited but so happy to have the fridge and be able to make a cup of tea before venturing out for breakfast
Great location, minutes from the High Street and the beach. The onsite parking was much appreciated. The property was absolutely spotless, very well equipped and decorated to an extremely high standard. We would not hesitate to book again. Everything you need is here and it has been very thoughtfully equipped.
Location was great - in the centre of town and close to the beach. Free parking for our car was brilliant. Collecting the key from the Hotel Continental was straight forward and easy. Property was very clean but the upstairs room was quite small. Milk, water and juice in the fridge was also very welcome.
We stayed in the two bedroom apartment. The location is excellent for both the sea (literally a 30 second walk) and the town. The beds were extremely comfortable and the furnishings are modern and clean. There's a good parking space directly on the property too
The house is very cosy and cute, super clean, comfortable beds. The host is absolutely amazing, Sinead went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Location is perfect, 5 min from the beach. Whitstable is a cute little town with fantastic restaurants.
Stylish decorated and very comfortable hotel, with bar and restaurant, in the centre of Whitstable. Breakfest is impeccable. Very friendly service. Availability of (paying) short or long term parking nearby. Good bus connection to Canterbury.
Excellent location, close to everything. Surprisingly quiet street being so close to the high street. Easy parking right near to the house. House was warm and welcoming. Book a restaurant if you are eating out though, tables go very fast
Beautiful accommodation. Fabulous, attentive hosts. The property is immaculate with very thoughtful touches to make your stay especially special. Very dog friendly. Would certainly recommend. The best stay we have had in Whitstable.
I liked the location of the hotel, it is right between the Tankerton beach front and whitstable beach/town, so you can easily explore both sides of Whitstable. Our room was small but cosy and felt homely.
Whitstable is a quaint fishing town. All the hotels and restaurants are based on this The Continental Hotel fits perfectly in to this category quaint and relaxing
