Located in Whitstable, Kent region, Boat House is set a few steps from Whitstable Beach. The property provides a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi is available. Within 20 min being in the boathouse apartment, my husband, booked another night , the cleanest is excellent, staff very friendly and welcoming, the history the lovely lady receptionist at hotel one Tuesday night was so informative the book on of this town history of the family that made what is now many years later is most impressive, ( I’m sorry I didn’t ask this lady her name ) everything in this apartment is of a high standard, yes upstairs is not for tall people but what do you expect it’s the upstairs is the original part , neither me or my husband needed anything more than a walk ( it is the winter months) and to eat and somewhere warm to come back to ,trust me it’s very warm with just one radiator not all they provide to warm it very cosy, I seriously can’t recommend this place enough .

Nice location near the beach and not very far from the main points of interest. The apartment is big and sunny (when there is sun around) and very comfortable to stay in. It has a small patio outside, very cute. Coleen, the hostess, was polite and welcoming. The day of my check-out was raining and I called her to help me book a taxi. Instead, her husband offered me a lift to the train station and that was great gesture. I had great time in Whitstable and hope to be back soon when is warmer

Very impressed with Whitstable. There are numerous pubs, bars and restaurants and all are very welcoming and friendly, including being dog friendly. Lovely selection of independent shops which was very nice to see.
Lovely place to visit, plenty to see and do. Nice walks along the sea front. Birdies definetly worth a visit for local fish restaurant, need to book in advance. Lots of activity in the harbour area with craft and art huts. Parking can be tricky when it is busy, but a short walk in to town from the large car park past the harbour.
Whitstable's extensive history as a seafaring and fishing town is well documented. Its maritime links go back centuries and everybody heads for the iconic Horsebridge which was a loading ramp from the flat bottomed boats using horse drawn carts. The Old Neptune pub, the 'Neppy', is one of only 6 in the UK to be on a beach. The harbour & its fish market is a must, the whole of foreshore area from Tankerton, Long Beach, the harbour, Royal Native Oyster Stores, past the former fishermens' stores, where boatyards used to be, along West Beach, past where actor Peter Cushing used to live in Wave Crest & on to Seasalter. Numerous eateries in the town, excellent fish and chips at The Forge near Reeves Beach, Whitstable Bay beer (brewed by the country's oldest brewery, Shepherd Neame, in nearby Faversham) at several pubs in a town that used to have 52 in the 19th century plus the boutiques in fabled Harbour Street. Excellent local bus services to Canterbury, Herne Bay & other places. A visit by visitors to the Whitstable Museum is a must to understand more of the town & 'see' the town through the eyes of days gone by.
It made a pleasant short break. Plenty of places to eat during the day, a bit more restricted in the evenings, but we stayed Sun -wed during autumn and things seemed to open on Wednesday. The beach was easy to get to and there were plenty of places to eat and sit. Nearby Tankerton was a short walk along the beach and it was easy to walk to Whitstable castle and gardens which were worth a visit. We eat at The Lobster Shack which was lovely and also Samphire. In both the foodwas good, but not cheap.A good place to use as a base to travel as well.
Location excellent. Number 11 hut disappointing. No sofa in hut, picture shows one. No outside area, no air in hut. All other huts looked much better position for same price. Would not return to that hut, very expensive for the reasons above.
Whitstable is a delightful place for a short break or a long weekend. We loved it. It is relaxing, with wonderful walks. For food lovers - this is the place to be. And the people in Whitstable are very friendly. Great space and highly recommended.
The location is superb, just metres from the sea. Be prepared for passers by looking in, this accommodation is right on the sea wall, but you soon get used to it, and the view makes it worthwhile. We stayed Sunday and Monday, and the Monday was very quiet without the weekend crowds. It was dog friendly, warm and very cosy. A brilliant couple of nights. Also worth noting that the Hotel Continental served really lovely food.
Whitstable
Amanda was an excellent host and made such an effort to accommodate our stay at Passenger house and arrange picking up of the keys. The place had all the necessities for a weekend getaway - it was within walking distance of Whitstable and the local shops and it had great facilities considering the property is on the small side. We also loved the decor and the property had more character and freedom than staying in a hotel.
Whitstable
The B&B was very comfortable and clean with Sue being a wonderful host. The cooked breakfast’s were very good and Sue would find an alternative if you wanted something different. Parking is very difficult in Whitstable but the hotel has access to a couple of parking spaces round the corner which is very useful and included in the cost. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep every night.
We loved this spot. The food was glorious. Breakfast was a work of Art, and the lunch was absolutely superb. We had many guests join us for lunch and everybody's meal was truly exceptional. Well done to the chefs at the Hotel Continental. Location perfect - centrally placed between Tankerton and town and close to amazing eateries. Perfect setting, very clean, friendly staff, and comfortable room.

Perfect with a young family. I love Whitstable so many nice little restaurants, boutique shops and beachfront restaurant/ bars and I am looking forward to staying at harbour mews again soon.
Whitstable
Good modern apartment, good location, very modern and clean - staff at the Hotel Continental were very helpful, good communication re booking from accomodation owners (Hotel Continental). Modern bluetooth door entry system via an app (unfortunately didn't work when we stayed there but owners helpfully provided a key card fairly quickly).
Whitstable
self contained small bungalow with own front door. much nicer than a hotel room. spotlessly clean. we had a fridge and a toaster and kettle. The hosts had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. There was even a sewing kit and torch provided. If we go to Whitstable again we would definitely stay again.
Whitstable
Clean and spacious. Private parking to the rear of the property. Excellent location. Local shop 5 mins walk (Co-op). 5 mins to the harbour. Cleaning products in the house and kitchen store cupboard items was a lovely touch. Lots of kid DVDs for the little ones and lovely patio area to sit out and enjoy the sunshine.
Whitstable
good location, the room was quite small but it was charming and had a lot of character to it, and the owner made really good use of the limited space, so i found that impressive. Wife and I were happy with the room but others who might be looking for spacious or modern / hotel like accommodation might not like it.
The Marine Hotel is perfectly located, a short walk from the harbour and town centre. Lovely sea views from the superior sea view rooms. Breakfast was a highlight, no dry old buffet here! You get a small menu with a variety of choice and a lovely (proper barista) coffee.
Whitstable
The lodge was nice, quiet and cosy, and the location was perfect, very close to Whitstable and Canterbury. We were provided with everything we needed for our stay, Gary and Jean were very friendly and helpful. Would very highly recommend.
