PLACES TO EAT: The Crown Tavern. Just a few doors up from the apartment, this gastropub is such a great spot for a drink and a bite to eat. Be sure not to miss a visit here. Lord Northbrook. If you fancy a short stroll into Lee, this gorgeous pub is a firm favourite with the locals. A perfect spot to while away an afternoon. Luciano's. Gorgeous Italian restaurant - fresh pasta and wood fired pizzas. Just a 10min walk (half a mile) from the apartment. It's directly opposite the Lord Northbrook. PLACES TO VISIT: Blackheath Village (a short bus or taxi ride away) is well worth a visit. Such a buzzy village, filled with bakeries (Gail's, Boulangerie Jade), pubs (Hare and Billet, The Railway) restaurants (The Ivy Cafe, Buenos Aires, Cote) and coffee shops (15grams). The list goes on and on. Basically, try to fit in a visit :) Greenwich Park. The Park is located just beyond Blackheath (walk across Blackheath Common). Stroll through the Park (one of London's eight Royal Parks) and you will find yourself in the heart of Greenwich Village. So much to see and do - the Royal Observatory, Cutty Sark, National Maritime Museum and the Queen's House - not to mention all of the markets, shops and restaurants. If you can, try to set aside a whole day to visit Blackheath and then Greenwich. EATING IN: There is a Co-op (25-31 Burnt Ash Hill) between Lee train station and the apartment. Handy for grabbing a few supplies. For a bigger shop, there is a Sainsbury's Superstore (14 Burnt Ash Road). GETTING AROUND: Bus. The apartment is well located for buses. For e.g., you can take the 202 to Blackheath (board the bus at Baring Road (Stop V), which is a 2min walk away). This is just a 9min bus ride. Or stay on for 6 more mins to go to Greenwich Park. Train. The apartment is a 7-10min walk from Lee train station (zone 3). From Lee it’s a 13-21min ride into central London (Charing Cross / London Bridge / Cannon Street). Taxi. An uber or Bolt is always close by.
