We were very impressed with the service and had a great stay. We were a bit disappointed with our first room and asked to upgrade to a room in the associated hotel, Washington Central, and this request was granted. As we were on our honeymoon, the front desk even offered us a huge discount on the upgrade to make our stay more special - it was an above and beyond gesture that we appreciated so much. Great service and nice amenities (pool, sauna, hot tub).

Stayed for 2 nights. I ate in the bar area the first night and the food was great. Breakfast was also nice with lots of options. The room was very clean and comfortable too.

Head as far west as you can and experience a side where rooms are super comfy and the food is as good as its people.

Di greeted me at the door. She even remembered my name. Rob was there too. I wanted to take the bed home it was almost a foot thick. Breaky wadgreat too. Lots too choose from. I would stay here again.

This property in my own opinion is a little gem in the Lake District area that you need to visit, The building is old but has lots of character very comfortable quiet room, four poster bed, bathroom was basic but everything worked fine, Dan on reception is very friendly and helpful and always there if you need assistance, we really enjoyed are short time here, the food is excellent one of the best breakfasts and meals we have had in a hotel for a while Try the burger stack you won’t be disappointed 10 out of 10 for service and customer care, I wish more hotels could run like this one, they really do care about the people who stay here , it’s certainly worth a visit 👍
