The location was perfect for us. We were able to get taxis close enough to the apartment. It was nice to have the market during the day and the cafes opening at night with local street musicians playing. The windows worked well when needing to keep out the street noise. The air conditioning worked great too—also, nice comfy beds to relax in at night.

Our cosy and welcoming apartment, renovated in 2019, ideal for couples, friends or lonely travelers, is equipped with all the necessary comforts for a pleasant stay in the center of Rome: fridge, microwave oven, toaster, hairdryer, iron, tv, heating system, dishwasher, air conditioning, WI-FI The apartment consists of a double bedroom with a wonderful view over Campo De 'Fiori, bathroom and kitchen. We are in a building dating back from 1500 that whispers the history of one of the most representative squares of Rome. From here you will have the opportunity to travel back in time by having a walk in the lively streets of the neighborhood, making it the starting point to discover the most beautiful city in the world: from Campo De’ Fiori to Piazza Navona, from the Pantheon to Piazza Di Spagna up to the Coliseum and all the wonders of the Eternal City.

Neighborhood info

Until 1400 the square did not exist as we know it nowadays: there was just a nice flowery meadow with some cultivated gardens and that is the reason why it is called Campo De’ Fiori (Flower Field). In the following centuries, ordered by the Popes, the area was animated by various mercantile and artisan activities. Just look at the names of the streets (via dei Pettinari, Giubbonari, Catinari, Baullari, just to name a few) to imagine manufacturers and sellers of bodices and crockery together with butchers, leather tanners and dyers at work. Even today this intense activity survives in the open fruit and vegetable market on the Piazza, in some historic shops, fashionable shops and Roman taverns where you can try the famous Coda Alla Vaccinara, a traditional dish born in the district. The central position of the property guarantees short walks (15minutes) on foot to admire the most important historical and archaeological sites of the city. The area is well served by public transport, typical Roman, Italian restaurants and outdoor markets. For the youngest, we recommend Trastevere (bars, pubs and clubs of all kinds) that is located on the other side of the Tiber River (10min walking)
