Immaculately cared for with the kindest staff I have ever encountered. You immediately feel at home and taken care of with small touches like skincare in the bathrooms, to big things like the private roof onsen available for free reservation. Fabulous breakfast and we were on our honeymoon so they surprised us with a decorated dessert and Polaroid photo of us!! Over the top kindness that makes me recommend this hotel to everyone and can’t imagine visiting Japan again without staying here.

The staff here are so warm and welcoming, somehow it felt like home! The traditional breakfast delivered to the room was a cool experience, I highly recommend trying that. The traditional room with futon was very comfortable.

I absolutely loved the overall theme of the ryokan. It was very much very minimalistic to mimic that of a tea house, and due to that it was very snug and warm. Had its own shower and my room specifically had its own private bath outside. Everything was very clean, and the staff were very kind. (They gave me a lot of recommendations for different foods to try nearby in the neighbourhood, and the ryokan itself is extremely close to some very good izakayas and the Sensouji Temple.) This was also the first time that I slept in a futon in Japan, and it was one of the best sleeps that I have through my entire two weeks vacation. The experience that I bought included breakfast, and every morning the breakfast was amazing. Very much would love to come back again if I can.

I loved to the traditional Japanese style ryokan. My room was quaint and homey. Loved how they had their own personal osen installed too on the rooftop where you could see the tokyo skytree.

This was a very special ryokan. If you want an authentic Japanese experience, in the heart of Asakusa, with incredibly friendly staff and a warm cozy room, this is the place. The staff made dinner reservations on the river for us and really took great care of us. Only two blocks from the main Asakusa Temple! Highly recommended!

Such a wonderful experience to stay in a traditional Ryokan with some modern touches and comfort. Can’t say enough great things about the staff. They were all so friendly, warm and helpful. Treated us like family. The rooms are exquisite, with a very traditional layout and artful decor. Breakfasts were a treat; traditional Japanese food and extremely tasty and beautifully presented..very feeling as well, great to power up for long days of walking! Loved the private onsen with the “eye” to the open sky. The staff was so organized reserving times for our in room breakfasts and leisurely 45 min onsen sessions. Top scores for location as well. Half a block from Senso-ji temple complex and easy access to the train station and the lovely river walk.Thank you very much for hosting us!

Every detail in this ryokan felt intentional and special. Breakfast was amazing every single day and we loved using the rooftop onsen to start or finish our day.
