We just stayed over one night. The 2 restaurants we visited and little cafe were very nice with excellent staff! Carolina Grill & Bar, The Sunny Daze and Malaya Cafe were the places we ate at. Absolutely loved it! Wish we could have stayed longer. I was proposed to Wednesday night on the beach ( wish it had been videoed ) . He had me to turn around to look at something , then told me to turn around and he was on one knee. Not what I was expecting at all. I love Carolina Beach but be prepared to PAY for parking if...
I love Carolina Beach but be prepared to PAY for parking if you drive to the boardwalk. There is NO free parking, even at some stores and restaurants. Took the ferry to Southport - awesome place! We ate at the Fishy Fishy cafe. Delicious food and outstanding service.Guest review byLynne - 10.0

The beach is nice not too crowded, however parking anywhere costs money unless you pay more for hotels or walk farther. Food in the area was good, some places are pricey but make up for it in the quality of their cuisine.Guest review byPatrick
