The staff was outstanding. Made us very comfortable and at home and I actually wish I would have stayed there the entire week, but I had made other reservations at another location earlier. Would highly recommend this hotel and I will probably stay there for the week next year when I come back.

Baraset Barn Hotel, hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon

Baraset Barn Hotel offers accommodations with free WiFi in Stratford-upon-Avon, well located 1.2 mi from Charlecote Park.

What a very nice and quaint hotel. Met the owner and visited at length with several of the staff. Really a nice property and very comfortable rooms. The only thing I would suggest is if you're going to leave your spouse behind that you give her a good mode of transportation because it was on the outskirts of Stratford upon Avon. During the day there is not much to do after everyone leaves the property, but when everyone returns in late afternoon and early evening there's plenty of activity and company to share stories with. The food at the restaurant was exceptional and clearly we had no intention of dining anywhere else but at the hotel. Cannot reiterate enough how wonderful the staff was. We especially enjoyed visiting with Amber Quay who is such a friendly and lovely young lady.

Good sized room, very large comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good and great quality, well cooked. Location is perfect to access all the main sites, less than 10 minutes from Shakespeare's house. We didn't have much interaction with the staff but everyone we did talk to was very friendly and helpful.

I can't believe the difference it makes to one of Shakespeare's plays to see it performed at the RST! It's a beautiful theatre, with tons of atmosphere, and makes the plays come alive. One tip is to book (cheaper) seats at the side, in the circle, and the visibility is very good indeed.

    Stages Shakespeare’s major plays.

Stages Shakespeare’s major plays. Quite good at big productions to suit a wider audience. Often big names. Good theatre, shop and refreshments. Big new tower to visit, and restaurant. Often have exhibitions. Good to go to any restaurant before or after a play.
