The staff is super nice and polite. The breakfast was excellent - the offer and quality of the food was much better than what one gets in hotels of this price range.

Great view of all Lisbon, you can see the discovery monument and cristo rei from the hotel, friendly staff all around a homely feel, the room was super comfortable and clean, the food was great, I have to say i had one of the best burgers i've ate in a while. The road to access the hotel is not in the best shape, but after you get there you won't even want to leave. I will definitely go back given the chance.

The rooms and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The stuff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. We liked the location because it is in a quiet neibourhood and not in the center and allows you to relax after hectic days of touring the city.

Massive 2hr queues first thing in the morning from coach/cruise ship trips. Go later in the day. Buy your ticket from the kiosk across the road by the car park before joining the queue. The tickets do not specify an entry time so you can buy them, then come back later.

Huge long lines for the Cloisters, book on line in advance if you want to go but even with tickets, expect a long wait. Also, the cathedral is close to the public during masses, so make sure you go when it is open. There is no line and no charge to go in.

We came on a Monday as it was advertised on google as being open, when we arrived it was closed! We spoke to some of the staff from the maritime museum and they explained it’s been an ongoing issue for some time now with tourists coming and just finding out it’s been closed when they already took the time and effort to travel there. The staff said they’ve been flagging it up for a long time that the information online is wrong to the monastery(but apparently they don’t care about wasting the time and money of people). It tells you a lot about a place if they don’t have any courtesy.

    A must see architectural wow!!

A must see architectural wow!! We happened to visit while a concert was going on. To see and hear the organ being played while taking in all the artwork and history of the interior of the church was an unexpected highlight. Walk across the square to Belem Tower, but be sure to stop and take in the view of the monastery at several vantage points. It's particularly stunning as the sun blesses the monestery at sunset.

very long waiting time in the sun (watch out for getting sunburned) It was about 2 hours to wait even with the Lisboa card. On the site from the Lisboa card it said it was a skip the line ticket but it is not. Inside the Monastery is pretty but I don't think it is worth waiting 2 hours, you are in and out in 10 minutes. You only see a very small part of the monastery whereas on the outside it is a massive building....

This is a wonderful and fascinating monastery but we had to queu over an hour to get into the cloisters and then had to queu again to get into the church, which was really disappointing. We arrived about 11 and it was much less busy when we left at 2.30 so try going later in the day.

Great location, right by Tram stop (line that goes to Belém Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, MAAT), easy walk to Praça do Comercio, Time Out, etc. Building and unit look new and well maintained. It was very clean. It was helpful to have elevator access.
