The property is very nice and in a great location, but what I enjoyed most was the staff. They were all polite, courteous and paid attention to detail. It was evident from check-in, to maid service and to the bellmen at the front door.

Loved the bar and the staff at the front desk especially. They helped us when our car got towed and they figured out where it was for us -- just awesome and empathetic staff.

Sadly Union Squares gone so downhill, tbh it couldn't get much worse. So many empty shops. This wasn't for first trip to San Francisco, regrettably it will be our last. The change in the last six years is massive. We didn't feel particularly safe there, which wasn't helped by all the signs warning you. Our first night there must have been 100-150 motorbikes and Quads all racing down the Main Street, with loads of the bikes pulling wheelies, this wasn't an official organised event simply a load of bikers took it upon themselves. There was one police car with its lights flashing but nobody taking an ounce of notice.

Close to a lot of nice cafes and shops.
Close to a lot of nice cafes and shops. The staff in the subway are pretty touchy, and you have to get the clipper card to use public transport. The area going away from the wharf is quite seedy, like an open-air opium den with drug users injecting in public. Some of the cafes included taxes of ~$30USD, bringing out breakfast for 2 to $85. Better to ask ahead. Expensive place overall.

Union Square is right in the heart of San Francisco with lawns, steps and trees. A perfect square amongst expensive hotels and Macy's store. Nice to sit and eat lunch and watch the passing parade. Also the cable car goes up the side street of Union Square.

It feels very run down and really scruffy.
It feels very run down and really scruffy. It’s not the best part of the city and there are so many vagrants which can feel very intimidating when they shout at you, I know it’s not their fault but it does become scary especially at night time.

Hotel Fusion has an excellent location in Union Square near Powell Station where you can catch the cable cars, electric trams, Muni Subway, BART, and busses. Bars, Restaurants, Shopping and Nightlife all within easy walking distance. Hotel staff were all friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, polite, prompt and professional in providing great customer service. Room was large for San Francisco and had a comfortable bed, clean room, nice bathroom, along with great air conditioning, ceiling fan and mini-fridge.
This was my first time at Galleria Park Hotel. Our room was even more than we expected. It was decent size and very comfortable. Bed was very comfortable and room was really clean. Location was walking distance to Union Square, China Town and many other locations. Plenty of good restaurants, coffee shops in that area and most of all very safe. I will definitely visit again sometime soon.
The staff was exceptional with their service. The gym was small but decent. The room was clean and comfortable. Located near everything. The street cart, Union Square. Shopping, food basically everything you need. Even CVS I was there for business and still was able to enjoy san francisco because everything was within walking distance from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
The location was really convenient and central. The hotel is in Union Square but just on the edge of what would be considered a safe place to stay -- any further west and you probably wouldn't feel as comfortable. Room was great value for what we got and was in great condition with new and stylish furniture, modern and clean bathroom, and had a beautiful view.
We enjoyed our stay in this little charming hotel. Price was good. The location was great, right by Union Square and Chinatown and cable cars stops. The highlight for us was Skittles 😻 she took an immediate liking to us and would always follow us up three floors to our room and hang in the room with us! It was the cutest thing.
I've been to hotels around the world, but sometimes it's the simple things that make a hotel great, and the Chancellor is a perfect example... delicious, free gourmet cookies in the lobby, a clean and bright room, comfortable bed, white tiled bathroom with an actual bath tub, and the perfect location in Union Square. The room's also the perfect size for couples. Highly recommended !
Very pleased with the quality and comfort of the room, especially the extra spacious size, unusual for Union Square. The top floor club lounge is also a fine amenity.
We didn't have time to enjoy the hotel fully during our 1-night stay, but we appreciated the top-class stay at an affordable rate and look forward to enjoying Club Donatello again in the future. We hope to try Zingari next time.
The Palihotel San Francisco was a fantastic choice for me. Perfect location to ride all the transit with a muni pass, block away from Union square, 2 stores nearby (the one up the stairs is way better).
The room was clean, very comfortable & classy. I was never hot or cold and didn’t have to adjust anything. The room was in front & windows opened onto a fire escape. There was street noise, but not too bad.
All in all very charming.
The hotel is located at union square, a pretty busy area in San Francisco with a lot of shopping malls at the vicinity, it is relatively convenient as well, one can go to almost any tourism sites in 20 minutes; The room and the bed is clean and comfortable.
I enjoyed the location in Union Square. Hotel is classic central San Francisco. Lovely decor, comfortable bed, TV worked great. Bathroom for standard room is on the small/intimate side, fits one person but very nice shower. Lovely environment in hotel overall. Kitchen staff made excellent eggs!
