- From $231.85 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 2,155 reviewsWhile not as bougie as the Hayman Island Resort, there is a lot to do at this resort. There are 2 restaurants on the island and the food options include an asian restaurant and a burger and pizza type of place. But vegetarian options available too and a small gift shop in the main lobby. But the key thing is the amazing activities to do on the resort (swimming with stingrays, live reef, sunset beach area behind with a rainforest pathway too to hike, sailing lessons that can be done from the island and scubadiving from island. The island has two sides, one for day trip and one for people staying. Big pools to swim in plus beach side. Great views. Easy to access port to go to reef or white haven tours as well as snorkeling tours or back to mainland to airlie beach or hamilton island. Walaroos are cute as anything on the island and you can feed them apples and bread and rice etc. like they are your pet dog. The cockatoos too. There was also paint and sip and other activities as well. Very family friendly. There is an underwater observatory room(an aquarium of sorts) and morning yoga in that room. there is also a kids section and other such aquariums throughout. It is beautiful paradiseGuest review byEktaUnited States

The bed was VERY comfortable and the view was lovely. Downstairs at the casino the bar staff were lovely and remembered the drink I'd previously ordered which was a nice touch. The cafe did a beautiful breakfast and the staff there were polite and helpful.Guest review byJason MichaelUnited States
- From $194.19 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 703 reviewsCook your own breakfast is a novel idea which wasn't clearly communicated and only on cracking a raw egg thinking it was boiled did I realise this was the case. It was a great experience to grill my own breakfast and enjoy the freshly baked bread after the rainforest hike neighbouring the venue. The spa bath and shower are great too.Guest review byGreg B.South Africa

A large generous room all set up for a group of 5 adults + a huge spread of breakfast buffet + entry included to 3 different parks. Highly recommended. We enjoyed walking through South Bank and across the Neville Bonner Bridge to Star Casino. We enjoyed going to the viewing platform at the casino and sitting watching the sunset. We enjoyed our walk through the city and seeing the new and old architecture. There are lots of restaurants and cafes. The train from the airport was easy to use and took us directly to South Brisbane Station. The bus took us directly from South Brisbane to the Gabba.Guest review byCarolynAustralia - 10.0

Hotel was lovely close to train station -we used the train a lot to go to restaurants-the array of restaurants was great we chose Thai one night and indian next night A nice get away of note was exceptionable manners of the young men on train e.g. offering their seats on train -had not been to stay gold coast for sometime found it clean-beaches look fine seem to have recovered since cyclone we would definately stay again.Guest review byCarolynAustralia - 10.0

Tours are great paranella park and kuranda are the 2 I recommend. There is plenty to do around cairns city. Muddies playground was just 5 minutes walk to the esplanade from where we stayed its more for younger children and there is a cafe next to it where you can order extra hot coffee. And the lagoon is great for those who love the water.Guest review byKim - 8.0

Walking distance to everything, easy to get around, plenty of choices for places to eat as well as a great Cole's supermarket. You can be as busy or as relaxed as you want to be. A road trip to Daintree, Cape Tribulation and the Wildlife Discovery Centre is easily done in a day. A boat trip up the Dickson Inlet is a fun and informative thing to do. Snorkelling out on the reef is a must if you have never done it.Guest review byTrishNew Zealand - 10.0

I attended a cricket game at Harrup Park, which I had never been to before. Google maps made it easy to find and the facilities are amazing. One afternoon, I walked the Mackay Bluewater Trail. It was interesting and I felt safe on the trail.Guest review byKENAustralia - 10.0

We enjoyed the beautiful parks and gardens, the historic buildings in the city of Toowoomba, the Cobb & Co Museum. We also liked the short drive to Crows Nest National Park with its eucalypt forest and granite boulders. Breakfast at Cafe Valetta was excellent! Happy to recommend Toowoomba as a good holiday destination.Guest review byOdette - 8.0

Must do is the Pacific Whale Foundation Whale trip, totally awesome and they are non profit so all the money goes back into the research of the whales. I prefer the quieter side of Hervey Bay the side we stayed in Torquay was busy but vibrant. Loads of places to eat on the Esplanade. The pier is worth a walk along. Make sure you get to the beach at sunset as it is beautiful to watch.Guest review byLindaHUnited Kingdom
