- From $169.38 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 4,024 reviewsWe arrived late, almost at midnight, without a reservation. The night staff were helpful, but they didn’t have enough authority to fully assist us. It would be better if the hotel trained the night staff to handle last-minute guests for the benefit of both the guests and the hotel. It wasn’t their fault—they did their best. Thank you, Garett, for being kind and helpful. The breakfast was great—I loved the sausage—and the service flowed smoothly. Also, the location is excellent—just a minute’s walk to the railway station.Guest review byBoonyanuchThailand

I loved exploring the interesting and quirky areas of the village and investigating its history. A very thought provoking place to visit! The accommodation added to this and so did the kindness of all of the staff, who were very helpful as I had never visited Portmerion before.Guest review byLauraUnited Kingdom - 6.0

A small, compact city that's a little run-down and in need of some government cash to bring more people in. We've never been in such a quiet city centre on a Saturday night; plenty of pubs, not enough people! So many Turkish barbers, so few decent restaurants...and no hotels! Plenty of take-out eateries, but that's not what tourists need! Lovely setting, Welsh government: you're missing out on tourism in Bangor, so splash the cash and glam it up...decent restaurants, a couple of hotels and a modern bar or two. The city should be very grateful for the Black Bull, JD Wetherspoon's, the only busy pub in town!Guest review byAnnetteUnited Kingdom - 10.0

If you are looking for an amazing beach with great dunes for long walks Aberdyfi is great. Other than that it is a very quiet seaside town with a few shops and places to eat. We stayed in the absolutely wonderful Gwesty Seren Hotel and did the 70 mph Titan Zip line, fantastic. Take a bee-line for the grapes hotel bar and restaurant to eat out, amazing. Photo is one of the amazing views from the Gwesty Seren HotelGuest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Bala is a lovely town at the end of the lake.
Bala is a lovely town at the end of the lake. It seems to consist mainly of one high Street with various shops, pubs and eateries. The lake is beautiful. We hired a double kayak which cost 40.00ph and the whole hiring process was super easy. We also did the steam train ride along the lake which was lovely. There's lots more to explore so I'd definitely go back for a couple of days and explore the area some more.Guest review bysueUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Criccieth is a beautiful town, smaller and quieter than the other towns on the coast, but the views around the bay are unequaled. The surrounding countryside is the Lynn peninsula at it's best, very untouched and beautiful.Guest review bydavidUnited Kingdom
