Borehamwood felt like a safe place with ordinary not too posh shops, not gentrified. Not pretty, but that wasn't important to me that day! There were a few breakfast places to choose from, none crowded, with good level of choice and good prices. Good public transport links by bus and Thameslink train service. Semi rural on the outskirts when you get on a bus, which I enjoyed.Guest review byCarolaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Well worth a visit.
Well worth a visit. A very calm, relaxing place and the garden city aspect was very interesting. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops. Wide pavements made it easy to walk around and the main street architecture made for a pleasant experience.Guest review byNeilUnited Kingdom
