- From $214.83 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 2,093 reviewsWe truly enjoyed our stay here. Of four nights, only one night the car parking inside our lot wasn’t available (we came back after 10pm), so we had to park in the other car parking of the hotel, but there was always parking g while we were there in May. It was a very spacious apartment for the two of us, super comfortable, everything was very clean, the kitchen super well equipped (we cooked out breakfasts there), it has a small laundry… and the design and layout of the room were perfect: the beautiful views of the lake could be seen from every area. Having breakfast looking at the lake was a great experience. Great location super close to everything. Just loved itGuest review byYaraPanama
- From $1,872.87 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 53 reviewswe had been traveling for some weeks when we reached eichardts, so having laundry facilities in our apartment suite were an unexpected bonus. The nice kitchen also gave us the ability to cook some food items which we like without going out to a restaurant. The locaction of eichardts at the waterfront promenade was beautiful and got us close to all the local bars and tours. We were served a liesurly but excellent free breakfast in the eichardts bar. Great and helpful hotel staff. Queenstown on the wharf is so beautiful, dont go to the uphill accomodationsGuest review byJohnUnited States

The scenery was spectacular.
The scenery was spectacular. Amisfield winery and restaurant (5 star plus) was the trip highlight - it's 20 mins outside town - take an Uber so you can enjoy the wine(s). Queenstown itself is very small and walkable and has some nice eateries: the Patagonia icecream parlour on lake front was a treat (eat upstairs for the lake view). Best to book eateries in advance and excursions (though we we subject to "sorry overbooked" after a tour paid for!)Guest review byANTONYAustralia - 10.0

We were just passing through on this trip, but Dunedin is a great place to visit for an extended stay Harbour and inlet good for paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing. Any scheduled open water swims are great. Mountain biking on the peninsula and behind Logan Park and other trails is good. Good tramping and trail running, Mt Cargill, Swampy etc Weekly Park runs. Marathon one of my NZ favourites, a must do. Summer events regularly held by local triathlon club. I am in my 70s and enjoy Dunedin, younger folks would enjoy it even moreGuest review byShirleyNew Zealand - 10.0

the train, the old town, the seals the penguins. The Craftwork pub, the robot shop, the criterion, the kids playground, the farmers market...all doable in a weekend and all within easy walking distance. and a drive to Kakanui is worth it tooGuest review byLesleyNew Zealand - 10.0

Cromwell is a great place to base yourself, perfectly positioned in the heart of Central Otago between iconic hotspots like Queenstown and Wanaka. Just a short 45-minute drive from both, it's incredibly accessible, yet offers enough charm and character to stand proudly as a destination in its own right. Whether you're chasing adrenaline, exploring vineyards, or simply unwinding by Lake Dunstan, Cromwell caters to every pace. The town blends scenic beauty with a welcoming, laid-back vibe that makes visitors feel instantly at home. From world-class wineries to heritage precincts and local markets, it rewards those who linger with rich and memorable experiences. Don’t just pass through, spend time here. You’ll discover why many wish they'd stayed longer.Guest review byNeilNew Zealand - 10.0

Breath taking location and such beautiful settings with the bar setting at the back amongst the beautiful flowers and well Kept lawns. The staff are very attentive and do an amazing job. Rooms are well appointed too with kettle and good bathroom amenities.Guest review byLizNew Zealand - 10.0
There is a big clock on the hilltop.
There is a big clock on the hilltop. A big playground in the city centre. An information centre with a museum and a small gallery in the same building. We could walk along the river in the bush. Grocery shopping was easy as there are two major supermarkets, New World and Woolworths. Fast food was easy to find. Cafes offer good-tasting coffee. There is plenty of free parking in the town centre, from where we could walk almost anywhere around the town. Alexandra is a small town for a visit, where you want to unwind in a laid-back setting. It is also close to Cromwell and Roxburgh, where you can go for cherry picking in the summer.Guest review byZeyingNew Zealand - 8.0

Traveled south to support our basketball tem who played in Dunedin. Mosgiel was close enough for a short trip into town, yet far enough out to avoid any hussel & bussel of city life. Close to the airport for our departure. Lovely little town with all the services you could need. I'll be back to stay again.Guest review byPaulNew Zealand - 8.0
