Queenstown is somewhere everyone should experience!
Queenstown is somewhere everyone should experience! Beautiful scenery, lovely restaurants, friendly, service orientated people. Very cosmopolitan, lovely to see and hear so many different languages.Guest review byMarionAustralia - 10.0
A city being redesigned and rebuilt.
A city being redesigned and rebuilt. Somewhat ‘empty’ but not deserted. A fresh and positive feel. The adorable Avon River runs through town…… worth exploring all the way to the coast on cycles. Heaps of parks, many with features suitable for kids. Earthquake Museum was fascinating……. my 14 & 12 year old boys were mesmerised. No earthquakes back in Sydney. Good food all over the city. We caught public buses(route 29) from airport and return. Recommended!! Great city!Guest review byAnthonyAustralia - 8.0
Beautiful place for family and friends or individuals.
Beautiful place for family and friends or individuals. Not like Queenstown which gave me a city feeling and the traffic was like Auckland CBD. For people who look for nature, not shopping and plenty of eating, I would recommend Tekapo, but not Queenstown. I like the Chinese restaurant there and the Lakeview. Also very easy ro get around Tekapo.Guest review byChen - 10.0
Wanaka is a great little town.
Wanaka is a great little town. Primarily a stepping stone to the ski resorts. However we did not go the the resorts. We did do a day trip to Blue Pools and the nearby waterfalls (Thunder falls). the drive was scenic and the pools were well worth having a look at. Thunderfalls is certainly a photo spot as well. We circled back to wanaka and had a look at the Wanaka tree. Its a great picture just prior to sunset as the branches of the tree have and orangy color to them.Guest review byStevoAustralia - 10.0

Larnach Castle stay was a highlight and also visiting the Orokonui Sanctuary. Photo of sunrise from room 22 at the lodge at the castle. Dunedin has lovely cafes but Coffee Culture Roslyn stood out as a great find. Beautiful freshly made keto bacon and egg flan. Photo of old fire door table. Lots of old buildings and great museums including a live butterfly collection. Don’t forget to get your fuel before heading out of town.Guest review byCindyAustralia - 10.0

We ended up staying at the Tasman holiday park, the bed was so much more comfortable and the manager there was so lovely. Te Anau was a great spot to see the glow worm caves, which was our highlight and we drove to do the Milford sound and it was a beautiful drive, which took about 2 hours both ways. There’s some lovely cafes and restaurants, gift shops and supermarkets. The bird sanctuary to se the Takahe was also a great stop.Guest review byJacqui - 10.0

Loved the friendly people, very creative and arty outlets, and artists, lovely eateries and markets, lots to do and see. We unfortunately got caught in the bad weather and were stranded for two more days - would have been great, but too wet and flooded to do anything else. Not Nelson's fault though! - We will be back to pick up where we left off!Guest review byJoNew Zealand - 8.0

Hooker valley trek is the main attraction there and it is closed right now The alternate to that trek is the Sealy Tarns trek which is pretty okay There are not too many options to eat there so it is a better option to buy your own food before you get here as there arent grocery shops here as well.Guest review byJayden - 10.0

Great place for a break, combined with a bit of adventure for those who want it. Enjoyed the jet boat, hot pools and hydroslides. Nice walk up Conical Hill with great views over Hanmer. Lots of great pubs and restaurants to visit and "PJ's Pies" are a must!Guest review byCampbell - 8.0

We had gone to the Oyster Festival in Bluff on Saturday and decided to stay Sunday as well so we could visit Riverton and Oreti Beach. We enjoyed Queens Garden and visiting the animals who were well cared for. I am sure there is plenty more to see in and around Invercargill.Guest review byTREVNew Zealand
