Not much, unfortunately from the moment I arrived and the doors were locked I had concerns. I had to ring a number to get any information. I was told to come back at 4pm. So I had to tow my suitcase into the shopping centre and wait for 2 hours. This was after towing my suitcase 2 km from the train station. I was not impressed.

The manager had to unlock the front doors to let me in. We the had to navigate three lots of stairs and dark dooming passages with my suitcase in tow and one staircase was a spiral staircase! The paint work was awful, purple , yellow and red which just added to the dreary atmosphere. After all this, the room was small and cramped and again dark dreary walls and curtains. It was also freezing. I was put in a room on the second or third floor, at the very back of the building. I did not see or hear anyone else at all. I was shown by the manager how to get out the delivery entrance into a side alley which again meant navigating long dark passages and three sets of stairs. I was not impressed. I was booked for three nights but I slept in my clothes and left the next morning. It was absolutely awful. I called it the “ Bates Motel” to my friends. Don’t go there.

Excellent breakfast. Plenty of choice and good sized portions. Staff very friendly and attentive. Easy to top up supplies of tea, milk and sugars for the room. The bedroom was clean, bright and airy and the bathroom had a large shower which was ideal for me as I am a larger lady who needs the extra space! 🙂

Given the age of the hotel, it would have been interesting to have a little potted history of it in the guest folder. There wasn't anything that I didn't like. A couple of minor issues in the bathroom which didn't inconvenience me, but I reported them to reception to make them aware.

Such a lovely modern hostel! I felt completely safe staying solo here, I had a single room with shared bathroom which was absolutely clean, smelled fresh and it was very quiet. Nice range of cereal for breakfast and lots of tea options and an instant coffee included. Would stay there again for sure!

Staff were very friendly and helpful, I had to take my dog out at 2am & 5am as he wouldn't settle and the night porter let me out and waited on me while I wandered the grounds. Breakfast was delicious.

Very good value . Quite as comfortable as other places In Oxford 3x price. Brilliant locAtion and helpful staff. No frills but safe/ clean and easy for all sights.

Initially it was difficult to find the location but we call the owner and she was helpful to get us the location. And there was no garden space which we missed it

Bed matress was too soft and left us both with a bad back.. tv had no signal .No dishcloth to wipe sides .No tea towel for drying dishes and no cleaning products for the toilet. The cabin was very small to move around in the seating / dining area. The fence to front could be raised to a 6ft panel so its private in the hot tub. Pub facilities had non basically..no food served and you're miles from a town so take food with you.
