Our stay at the waters edge was lovely, brilliant location and so peaceful. The owners were lovely and very welcoming The two resident dogs were adorable and so friendly.

There was nothing to dislike but perhaps a little welcome basket would be an added touch.

Accommodation was exactly what I needed, in terms of space, comfort and facilities. Also, Beauly is a lovely place!

I rarely write reviews, but my experience at Saltmoore Hotel was beyond unacceptable. The hotel markets itself as a luxury sanctuary, but what we got was shockingly poor service from start to finish. It’s now clear that this is more of a money-driven project than a genuine hospitality offering. Behind the luxury branding lies a setup that simply does not care about the guest experience. Both nights at the on-site restaurant were disasters, inattentive staff, slow service, and a complete lack of professionalism. Housekeeping skipped basics like replenishing essential items, and the spa experience was uncomfortable and mismanaged. Even after we raised these issues with the hotel manager in person at checkout, we were promised follow-up that never came. I booked this trip as a brief escape after a personal loss, and instead, it added stress, frustration, and disappointment. Absolutely nothing felt “luxurious” about Saltmoore. The silence following our complaint only added insult to injury. For the price paid, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I wouldn’t recommend Saltmoore Hotel to anyone expecting quality, care, or accountability. You would expect that with the direct involvement of O’Shea Group and Galliard Homes, Saltmoore would reflect the standards of a truly refined and well managed establishment. Given the much publicised £100 million redevelopment, the experience delivered is not only disappointing, it’s frankly embarrassing. What I witnessed instead reflects a lack of even basic operational oversight, poor service culture and no accountability.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The evening meal and breakfast was excellent. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Couldn't ask for more.
