It is a lovely property set in a beautiful garden. All the staff was very welcoming. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious and very good value for money. And they make their own ice cream! So rare! Breakfast was good and the real treat is that they make their own bread. Also very rare! I wish more hotels could offer such a treat.

The room was a good size with a lovely shower, and complimentary toiletries. The kettle was a decent size and the mugs were a good size too.

The tea tray hadn't been refreshed for our arrival. There was one green tea bag, three chamomile tea bags and one de-caffeinated coffee sachet, nothing else.

Only one mug for 2 people and no spoon to stir in sugar. No TV remote. There was a remote for their firestick but the navigation circle didn't work as was stuck - accordingly it was useless. Wifi absolutely appalling. I was only ever able to access internet every so often and then usually it pushed me out after 2 or 3 minutes. I consider wifi essential in overnight accommodation and ridiculous that it was not available in city centre location. I would not have booked here had I known WIFI poor. It is very noisy into the early hours - though this is hinted at in the online info. I complained about above mentioned issues through a chat box online, though communication difficult due to poor WIFI! Company told us to go to adjacent Bar to be given a mug and spoon and free drink. No help with TV or WIFI No bath/shower gel in dispenser in shower. All in all an extremely uncomfortable overnight stay. If there are to be no staff on site, it is clearly essential that your cleaners check carefully the facilities in the room on each changeover - basic common sense.

A lot smaller than what it looks like in the pictures Decor is nice but makes the property look very dark The mattress’s are so uncomfortable, 2 out of the 4 the springs were broken and both had large dips in the centre
