Stylish decorated and very comfortable hotel, with bar and restaurant, in the centre of Whitstable. Breakfest is impeccable. Very friendly service. Availability of (paying) short or long term parking nearby. Good bus connection to Canterbury.

We received a room on the 2nd floor that was cosy but smaller (and under the roof) than the ones on the pictures for the same rate. There is no elevator, so a lot of steps up and down, certainly with luggage. Isolation of windows in this room was not good. We were there in a quiet period, so no noice in the evening, could be different in the summer however.

Staff were exceptional, all were very pleasant and competent and several went well beyond the call of duty to ensure our stay was a pleasant one. Food in the restaurant was very good and the soup especially was exceptional.

One slight complaint was that the wine glasses had a dishwasher smell about them. Suggest the filter needs cleaning or dishwasher overstacked?

The staff were all very nice and the room was nicely decorated. The location was ideal for me and as the weather was lovely and sunny, the outdoor seating was really nice for a drink after checking in.

The cleanliness wasn’t great. There were big cobwebs in my room (at eye level, not unreachable), spilled coffee on the wall that hadn’t been cleaned up, hairs by my pillow and the duvet cover was torn. There is very little sound proofing in the rooms. I could hear entire conversations from next door and they really weren’t being loud. The springs in the mattress felt very old and very soft.

Lovely and very helpful staff. Nice size room, very clean. Freshly cooked breakfast. Good location for Brecon - on the edge. Good value for money.

The town didn't have anywhere to eat apart from Wetherspoons! Not an attractive location.

Bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in, room was far to small for a Double Bed, window on room looked onto seating area outside, so could hear everything from people sat there, and window had cracked glass and if open was not Secure, as right outside window was a fire escape steps which anyone could easily have got into our room, the shower door did no close properly bifold so when have a shower water was dripping, and-year dot one fitments, band the noise was shocking as could hear people talking in the bar half the night ,so I 3 nights we stayed we had no SLEEP , all in all not a place I would ever stay again,

Location.

It would seem to be in need of some serious renovation through out, including the lifts, which were not working.
