- “Baan Thai House is a really beautiful hotel set in really lovely grounds. We booked 2 rooms which were both absolutely lovely and one of the rooms had the bonus of an outdoor shower. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We really loved the pool area which was well maintained with plenty of sun beds and a beautiful setting by the river. The staff were wonderful; extremely friendly and very helpful. We booked a sunset river tour through the hotel which was excellent and were dropped off at the night market for food. They also arranged a transfer back to Bangkok too. The hotel is a short tuk tuk or taxi ride to the main sights and we liked the fact it was tucked away in a lovely quiet area surrounded by well maintained gardens and a lovely lake. Would definitely stay here again!”

  We are a couple who stayed with our 7 month old baby and we were very happy with our stay. It was just what we needed when visiting family nearby. The facilities are excellent with everything you could need for a short break. Pleased to find a well equipped little kitchen with glassware/cutlery/crockery, tea/coffee, washing up liquid/sponge/cloth and even a two ring electric hob, if we needed it. The bathroom, while fairly open to the room, makes clever use of the space and works really well. Everything is clean, tidy and efficient. There was plenty of space for us to set up a travel cot for the baby while still having room to move around. The bed, while low to the floor, was very comfortable. I’d happily stay here again!

  We were without hot water at the start of our stay but a quick text to the owners saw this being resolved immediately and hot water was running less than 30 mins later. Can’t ask for more than that! I am 5ft5 and found the head height to be fine but my husband of 6ft struggled more with a few little bumps to his head. We could obviously see from the photos that this might be the case before booking! If you can remember to duck down then this wouldn’t be a problem for you! It wouldn’t stop us from staying here again.

  Lovely staff ( especially blond girl who loves books)who were so helpful and friendly- great location with lots of parking nearby - lovely food and drink in eve and when I said I would leave before breakfast they left me a lovely packed lunch to go. Would highly recommend- fantastic value

  Absolutely lovely decor. Genuinely dog friendly. Friendly generally but also professional. Nice food and drinks. Efficient. My door key worked. Lovely communal spaces. The way my room fixtures and fittings had been thought through. It is a well designed experience.

  There was noting to like did not stay there/could not stay there.

  Firstly, was given the wrong address I think this is done intentionally because the actual address is a dive.in a very terrible part of Birmingham. Secondly, was warned before viewing the address from the letter that bad reviews are given because of the run down area which did not look at all a safe place to stay and to leave your vehicle. Also a bit of a smell at the property not pleasing to the eye. Did not stay left immediately.
