When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

The apartment was delightful well equipped, exactly as the pictures and description. Unlike many holiday let's the standard of the cooker fridge shower was top .and seemed very new. It's in a great location, a short walk from the station, beach front & the bourne valley trail/ central gardens. Prior to and during our stay, coms with the owner Sarah were excellent. Booking in was automatic and the instructions given crystal clear. One of the the best places I have stayed via bookings 10/10

It was all good zero criticism

I loved how friendly the staff were, from the staff at reception to the man stocking the buffet. It made such a difference to the whole experience. Plus I loved the decor. The eating area felt like we were in an independent cafe rather than a bland hotel chain.

Ummmm. I guess our view was out onto a bare terrace with a brick wall. Maybe you could put some plants there?

Great location. We were encouraged at check in to book a table for dinner and are very glad we did so. It was super busy and we wouldn’t have got a table otherwise. Room was quiet Good hot shower

Nothing other than some hand soap and a towel in the bathroom would have been appreciated.

Lady on the desk was/is lovely! Never caught her name, but deserves a pay rise.

No hairdryer.. No soap in both dispensers Additional charges for pool and carpark. Though didn't spoil our time there, and are understandable. Just nice to know before we get there!

Location was very good for my final destination. Easy to find.

The hotel rooms were extremely stuffy. The milk had gone off due to the heat. Check in was slow due to the staff having to work on reception and serve food!

Friendly reception.

I was on the first floor and opposite the castle therefore extremely noisy. Could hear everything outside as window double glazing is outdated. Rooms & bathrooms are tired and in need of upgrading.

My first and last Ibis (Paignton) experience…. Ok. Where do I start. Well just so you grasp I’m the most easy going person in the world …. In my 14 years in the transport industry whereby I book hotels for myself or others literally every day of the week …. This is my second bad review! Hence out of literally 5000 hotel booking you managed to acquire the privilege of been one of the worst hotel experiences ever. Well done Ibis !! After an early start and the heat on the van when I reached the final auction house of the day in Exeter I decided to do something out of character.. have an early finish. The regular place I stayed at in Paignton was sadly fully booked but recommended the Ibis as it was ‘pet friendly’. Mmmm. That’s a lie !! So as always at 15.43 on 10th May I called the soon to be ‘prison’. The Ibis styles in Paignton.. I always call hotels before booking to check on a few things. One they have a pet friendly room available. What the charge for a pet is? And as I have a large vehicle which is often loaded with antiques - what the car parking facilities is like - can they accommodate my size vehicle and security. After a 4 minute conversation with reception whereby I was informed my dogs would be allowed at £15 each and that I would need park near the hotel and they would show me on arrival. Subsequently I went onto booking com and booked the sea view room. I mean my first early finish in months so why not enjoy a room with a view and make the most of it….. little did I know all I would see of Paignton was this view !!!! On arrival the gentleman in reception whom I now know is Paul (aka the Paignton gestapo) was friendly enough until I went to pay and ……..(drumroll). Omg !!!! 3 dogs 😬. Herein the issue started …. No you can’t stay here. Shocked by his smile turning into some really dodgy clown frown I explained how I had booked after checking only an hour prior on the phone with the reception.
