Everything was excellent over and above. We were warmly greeted and on departure. There was an amazing cake fresh baked on arrival, luxury towels, robes and slippers!! Even fresh flowers inside and out. Nice sharp knives in the kitchen, log burner all ready to go, bbq, comfy cosy bed, tea and coffee, amazing view to ourselves couldn’t ask for more. Oh and great location too for castles, towns and hikes

Maybe a note regarding excitable dog that visited us a couple of times, in case someone doesn’t like dogs

the room had just been refurbished, shower okay. Kettle for coffee and tea. On ground floor. On the promenade across the road from Funland.3 minutes walk to Lord road and main shopping centre. Breakfast spot on..endless toast and tea. Would stop there again and Dave was full of information about were to eat and drink.

A lovely characterful house in a lovely characterful street in centre of town. Room was large, well equipped, with plenty of wardrobe & cupboard space, & bed was comfy. Hotel itself was quiet, & the host was friendly. Leek came as a real surprise, so much to see & do (not to mention eat & drink!)

Traffic outside hotel (& all round town) is a problem. Maybe some secondary glazing would help for rooms at front. Otherwise, consider asking for room at back, might be nice to overlook the garden.

Has an upgraded hostel/student accommodation feel. Beds are small like I would say queen size more than standard double bed. Breakfast was nice and more included than I expected (juices, coffee/tea, cereals, croissants, fruit etc). The kitchen was spotless.

Definitely feels more like a student accommodation or upgraded hostel. The room was quite expensive. Beds small.

I booked a room with a sea view. The first room I was given only had a sea view if you stood up and peered over railings. The second room was better but only a side view. Not what I paid for

The reception staff were dismissive and unfriendly

Cosy home with mindful design. Plenty of space, home bigger than appears in photos. Great location to walk around town, close to beach.

It felt like home away from home. It was just off the main street but could not hear traffic at all.

I would have liked somewhere to hang clothes. A larger mirror in the bathroom would have been appreciated.

Great location, quiet and picturesque setting. Great staff and food was lovely

A little expensive but probably due to the location for an event.

Bed was amazingly comfortable.

Unclear where to park. There was no specific named space for 138c, they were all empty so we just parked in one. O nevertheless, on the last day we got a written note on our windscreen saying we should have parked right at the end of the lane behind the garages. This wasn’t at all clear so it might be an idea to put a drawn map to the parking space to avoid irritating other people. Blinds did not block out sunlight very well, so woken at crack of dawn by sunlight, perhaps some curtains??
